Meh. For some teams depending on what they have on their roster it's extra practice, tournament experience, and can be beneficial.

Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mizzou are the only teams locked into either the NCAA or NIT. Ole Miss and LSU have work to do in Atlanta. Georgia might be in better shape than those two, but aren't guaranteed anything yet.

LSU didn't even make the NIT after winning 19 games last year. They are no lock for shite.

As bad as the SEC is this year, it will be the NIT SEC tourney part 2. Our pathetic fans are happy with a 3 rd year coach reaching the NIT. AR will shortly be where over rated coaches come to retire. Get paid a lot to suck for 3-4 years then settle off in the sunset.

This is the case for all D1 football and basketball coaches. How many of them will end up with career winning records. Probably less than 50%. How many will end up millionaires. Probably 100%.
