Dodgers' Ross Stripling to undergo Tommy John surgery
I met Strip in Montana the summer of 2012. He was pitching for the rookie league Ogden Raptors and making Helena's hitters look foolish.
Ross only threw three innings that night, and I talked to him the better part of an hour afterwards. He's one hell of a nice guy, and I hope that he is still the same pitcher after today's surgery.
He here is with my little boy, who was a couple of months shy of 4 at the time.

A fifth-round pick in the 2012 draft, Stripling, 24, was 8-4 with a 2.82 earned-run average in 27 games split between Class A Rancho Cucamonga and double-A Chattanooga last summer.

Really sucks for him. He was progressing well through their system and one of the prospect rankings I read a month ago said he could have possibly arrived this year. Hopefully he comes back strong

Didn't he already have this surgery once?

I don't remember him having a major injury at A&M.

Damn. I read a few days ago that he was experiencing elbow pain and was going to get it checked out.
