Not sure if a thread like this has been made yet or not but by the time I got home from our game I was only able to catch the end of the OM-Vandy game and the first thing I noticed was how many Rebel fans showed up. Now I know Vandys stadium gets overrun with away fans a lot. We always see that when bigger fan bases such as UGA or UF travel to Vandy but to see OM do that on a Thursday night?

I remember first tuning in seeing all the Red people in the seats there, but I don't think Oxford is necessarily that far from Nash., is it? Plus, memorial day weekend helps too. Good showing for OM, no doubt.

There were a good number of Gator fans at the game last year from what I recall (saw it on TV).

Ole Miss fans did show up, but word is this was mostly a Vandy crowd. For Vandy that's an accomplishment, even at home.

Yeah, looked like we had probably 15-18 k there. Took up our side to the students and that other corner of their side with a lot of red dotted throughout the rest of the stadium. I was very pleased with how many of us made the trip. It was fun to watch in person. And hats off to Vandy, they are solid and will win plenty of games this year. I hate playing those assholes

OM fans travel well if they have a reason to travel... if their team is good they hit the road well for a smaller fanbase.

OM fans travel great. I think we literally had around 50% of the total (40k) last night

I appreciate the hate. Auburn tends to look down on Arkansas, but they are a huge pain in the arse. Hate losing to Arkansas. (Said with respect.)

There just aren't many SEC games where I'm not satisfied just to get a win.

There were about 100 Vandy students that blocked off the portal we were going through to get to our seats. They were doing all that anchor down shite and not letting anyone through. Pretty fricked up IMO.

I remember going to a Bama game there in 97 or 98 and I swear it was 90% Bama.

We went to Vandy for a Bama game in 2007, and it looked like Bryant-Denny North. Of course this wasn't the new and improved 9 win season James Franklin Anchor Down version of Vandy, but still.

Almost every Vandy game is like that. It was nothing unusual.

Yeah. Honestly the fact that it was 60-40 Vandy is impressive for Vandy. Ole Miss travels well as a fanbase and in past games this game would've been nothing but 20k Ole Miss fans.

Why would Auburn look down on arkie?

LINK

arkie has beat us most of the time.

I doubt that will be true of Auburn. Alabama will make sure that you are always up and down.
