Expectations were much lower back then. Hell, I'm not sure if there were any spectations.

People think that 7 years, mostly built off the labors of Gillispie, some how entitles A&M to be among the basketball elite that make the tournament every year.

This was coming whether Turge left or not, his last team was down right atrocious at times. There are better programs with actual history that have gone through down times as well. We have 3 Sweet Sixteen appearances with the last two separated by a span of 26 years and that tournament appearances separated by almost 20 years and that some how makes us some sort of basketball power house.

Name one loss in 2010-2011 in which we lost to a team we were CLEARLY more talented than at home.

That "atrocious" team that Turgeon had in 2010-2011 lost NINE TOTAL GAMES. That's including the postseason.

Keep in mind that the nonconference schedule in 2010-2011 included wins over #20 Temple, #21 Washington, and Arkansas.

Just like you can get better in a loss you can look bad in a win. That team looked like absolute shite at times.

Losses to teams that we were clearly better than: Boston College, Nebraska, Baylor all teams that we had no business losing to.

The talent level that Turge brought in was shite. Khris and David where the only players that Turge brought that were worth a damn and DL was probably still the 5th best post player that Turgeon got to coach behind Jones, B Davis, Elonu, and Jordan.

We were coming to a point where we were going to have some bad seasons. Outside of Branch he couldn't get any good recruits in (and since Branch left more because of not being labeled the "Star" on the team he likely would have left anyways, Turge would not have started Branch as a fish over Dash). He wasn't bringing in any significant post presence, so we would have had the same issues we have now. He wasn't landing any guards anywhere near the caliber of Caruso and Reese.

We will have to see how Reese, Caruso, Shawn and Space play out but it is possible that in 1 recruiting class Kennedy has brought in more talent than anything Turge brought in ... they could also all be major busts. We will have to see but even if Kennedy is let go next year (it will not be this year) he will leave the program in better shape than Turgeon did, as long as we don't have a rash of transfers.

Dude. I'm with you. We get it. Kennedy sucks donkey balls, but seriously. You have about 6 threads on the first page about your hate for BK. Did the dude corn-hole your wife or something?
