Within two weeks, just-beaten Alabama had been scooted back up to number two behind top-ranked LSU, and yet another SEC team (Arkansas) had been quickly installed at number three, thus ensuring that no matter what happened next, the SEC would be guaranteed a national title. The system of propaganda reached its torrid, circle-jerk climax with the 2012 BCS title game between LSU and Alabama.

The SEC is better than other conferences at media manipulation and pretending that fiction is fact and fact is fiction. But as a top-to-bottom conference it is not better at football. The numbers bear that out.
I see a decent point or two but he ignores many facts. Example when Oregon lost to LSU they lost by 13 and where handed an arse whipping for the second half of the game. Alabama lost in 2OT and "Alabama was the better team on the night" and the camera wire distracted them so it was more of just a miracle they didnt win by two touchdowns let alone lose. What do u guys think? Good points? Or as the common phrase on here seems to be "butt hurt"?

early season rankings don't mean as much as mid-late season rankings.

preseason #1 < mid season #1

this is Germans tho.

What is hilarious to me is this; the big 10 enjoyed this same level of propaganda for years. Hell the only reason BYU was crowned in 1980; or 81 can't quite remember what year, was becuause of northen media bias towards the south.

How about the previous 5 years when the SEC beat a team from another conference in the national title, often as an underdog. Or in 2010 when a 3 loss SEC team put one of the most dominant break your will displays of football I've ever seen against the co big ten champions in the cap one bowl

Right now our mid tier programs could compete in any conference other than ours, and the 2 at the top would cakewalk through another league

He is butthurt but he does have a point - the SEC is not strong from top to bottom... what makes the SEC remarkable is there are a real handful of teams that win national championships

That is what sets the SEC apart from other conferences

BCS era championships by conference

SEC:
Tenn 98
LSU 03
Florida 06
LSU 07
Florida 08
Alabama 09
Auburn 10
Alabama 11

ACC:
FSU 99
Miami 01

Big 12:
OU 00
Texas 05

Big 10:
OSU 02

PAC:
USC 04*

This guy is seriously biased against the SEC. I mean how quickly we forget that a 12-0 Auburn was completely snubbed from championship consideration in 2004. Seriously though, complete domination by the SEC during the BCS era strongly suggests that this guy is full of shite. Five different SEC teams have won the NC during since the BCS was installed: Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Auburn and Alabama. No other conference even comes close.
