What percentage of an SEC teams fans base is composed of actual alumni of that school??
I ask because here in middle Tennessee I run into UT, AU, and Bama fans who have obviously never set foot at an institute of higher learning.
Not bashing these schools or trying to say these fans are inferior, as I saw universal support for LSU growing up in rural Louisiana
What say you??

I'd say most major colleges have a fanbase primarily made up of non-alumni.

I agree with this also and I have no problem with it. I agree the most of the time they are the ones that make the fans base look a little "ridiculous" at times, but who is to say who you can and cannot root for. I mean do you have to live or have lived in N.O. to be a Saint's fan?
