Sure we can LSU would have done the same with O 1 season after a national championship had a couple of things gone different. Sark's buyout will be made up in one year in the SEC.

The costs of terminating go beyond just the buyout. If you fire a coach in year one because he's not winning enough for your liking, good luck getting any other decent coach to replace him.
It will confirm what the rest of the CFB world thinks: UT is a dumpster fire, full of money, but a dumpster fire nonetheless that is run by an incompetent administration and boosters who think their checks give them the right to meddle unchecked.

Little do you know just how close to the exact thing happening did't come to pass. It was down to the tie breaker
