I hate that this post slipped so far down, apologies… I saw it earlier.

The place you have mapped isnt the *best* spot to launch, simply because of the tides. It may be too shallow to paddle.

Instead, in the lower right of your map, there is a spot where you CAN drive up and park right next to GISP, and while it may be a bit longer of a paddle, you can get to a better spot.

Jolly Roger, where it makes a 90 degree by the water tower, has a spot to park and a wade-in to launch. I’m too old and dumb to post pics, but the spot is just below and beyond to the right of your image.

Then, paddle out NNW until you get to the breakwater… there’s some fish in there *inside* the jetties, but beyond the jetties is a dredged hole, about 7-8ft deep, that holds drum and trout. (And a shît ton of gafftop, if you bottom fish)

Hope this helps, and happy fishing!

It's all good. Thanks for the information.

I found the Jolly Roger launch area you mentioned. Nice little picnic area. Looks like an easy paddle back around. May even try to fish up in those canals.

Hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll be eating trout or flounder. May even drop a crab trap near the launch and let it soak until I'm done.

Thanks again. Appreciate it.
