Can I use milo at this time of year? I haven’t put anything on it since mid April.

No milo on centipede. it is too high in phosphorous and lacks potassium. You may be seeing a little yellowing from a shite load of rain.

What have you applied in the way of fertilizer so far this year?

Milorganite is not a good fertilizer for centipede. You want something with low or no Phosphate like a 15-0-15. There are 8-1-8 around that is useable. However if you just want to green it up a little you can add iron instead of additional fertilizer. Centipede really shouldn't be fertilized more than 1-2 times a year or you risk sending it into "centipede decline".

A 1/2 pound of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft of lawn would be appropriate - that would be 3 1/3 lbs of a 15-0-15 if you can find it. Fertilome makes a 15-0-15 centipede fertilizer. Apply it soon if you choose to go that route.

I agree with others - you want a fertilizer very low in phosphorus (middle number) and you can certainly use/try ironite or similar product to help green it up. Just remember centipede is naturally lighter in color than St Augustine.

You could get some liquid iron and spray it with your hose end sprayer. Just keep the overspray off your concrete because it will stain. Then water it in a little bit so it doesn't turn black.
