Reminder that Brennan also had Marshall and Gilbert and Johnson didn't.

Also consider this:
Left guard Ed Ingram, a three-year starter, attributed many of the offensive line's mistakes to poor communication and signal mix-ups with a rotation of three new quarterbacks in Myles Brennan, plus true freshmen TJ Finley and Max Johnson.

"We just had so many errors and miscommunications between the quarterbacks and the offensive line," Ingram said. "We just need to regroup and create that chemistry with the whole offense so we can be dominant, because we have the potential to be."

The O-line was new, but as the season progressed the OL began to play as a team.
It was mentioned in the Florida game that their defense was a leader in the SEC in QB sacks, but they failed to sack Johnson. Part of that was the ability of Johnson to avoid sacks, but the OL played better toward the end of the season.

How about you look at last year in general.

Max Johnson in 5 games last year 1,069yds,
58.7%, 8td, 1 int

Brennan in his 3 games: 1,112 yds, 60.3%, 11 td, 3 int

LSU fans: Max just has IT

The bulk of Max's stats came from playing that terrible Ole miss defense. The team improved as the season went. It's not simply because Max was playing.
