i trail run more than mountain bike these days, and i won't run on a multi-use trail unless it's an area that reverses direction for bikers v. people on foot, due to a-hole mountain bikers buzzing me from behind with no warning, even when i'm following all the rules and going above and beyond to stay out of the way.

but wow that MTBer has every right to go apeshit over that. That's unreal. I would lose my shite. Fortunately no one was hurt or worse.
