The 1969 team should have played for the national championship.
Archie’s heroics at home led Ole Miss to a 26-23 win, spoiling the chance for a perfect regular season and a spot in the title tilt.
That squad led the country in rush defense, giving up a paltry 37 yds a game.

Shoutout to the 1995 team. They were only 7-4-1 but it came after 6 losing seasons and introduced us to guys like Kevin faulk and booger McFarland. This team will always have a special place in my heart as that was the team that set the hook on me becoming a fanatic at the age of 14. I have loved LSU football ever since. Who can forget “bring back the magic” and beating auburn after that horrible game a year before or blowing out lil Nicky and Michigan state in the independence bowl!
