6300 gallons in a month does not seem that excessive and I’m surprised it generated a letter. Are you sure it didn’t say 63,000 gallons because that would be alarming. I think the 2 of us use between 3000 and 6000 and maybe a little more or less depending on if lawn/garden being watered, cars being washed, etc.

I guess if they can tell that it is running non-stop that’s more important than the amount. I didn’t know they monitored that closely.
