It may be a paradox, but quantity < quality when it comes to military.
US military tech is much more advanced than China's. They aren't even comparable. China can only outmatch the US in personnel.

Our dependence on expensive carriers will our downfall anti ship missle technology is advancing very fast check out the bramos for example

Not neccesarily.
Quantity has a quality of it's own
