I think every big time program has future earnings insurance for their players now. Georgia has had it for 10 years or more.

I remember reading that Archie Manning had an insurance policy like this at Ole Miss way back in the early 70s.. while it was more unusual then, it’s been standard practice for big name players who are projected to go high in the draft since the 1980s.
