what kind of things are you trying to do? Looking to hit up the mountains or just hang at the resort and stay in town?

I just booked a cabin for early November. Haven't been down there for years.

There's a place called The Inn At Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, right near Gatlinburg. We went last year in August and it was pretty magical for the kids. I would imagine during actual Christmas it would be insane. It is probably one of the nicest places to stay, without getting a cabin.

Again the Inn Christmas Place is awesome... you have kids? They have a legit santa that plays guitar and sings by the huge fireplace a few nights a week, and have cookies and milk for guest every night. A christmas tree in every room, really nice place

The Resort at Governor's Crossing is a great place for kids. Has 3 pools, including an indoor pool with 2 water slides. Also has a playground on site. Large rooms, condo style with separate living and bedroom areas. Convenient to Dollywood- don't have to go down parkway (traffic), but right near parkway if you want to cruise the strip. I've taken my family there several times and it is hard to beat.
