I don't pretend to be as well versed on this subject as some of you guys are, but I really don't understand the degree of negativity concerning Kevin Steele's hiring. Look at his resume and he looks very qualified. I don't think you can coach for Osbourne at Nebraska, Bowden at Florida State, and Saban at Alabama if you're a total dumb arse.

he was a positional coach and recruiter
Saban fired him as a DC

shite, Chuck Amato has the same resume (essentially) except he wasn't a total abortion as a head coach and actually is good at coordinating defenses.
