Tennessee has played and started more true freshmen than anyone in the country.

Vandy starts 7 freshmen and 8 sophomores. Lotta youth there. That includes the Freshman QB. Are they all true, no, but that is still 15 underclassmen starters.

How many true freshmen have played at UK?

Calipari routinely starts around 4. I am not aware of Kentucky having any other sports teams.

I know A&M had a lot of true freshmen on the two deep they released before the season started. I think the number was 12. That's a lot, but I don't have any clue if they've played.

That blog is over a year old. Again with the aggies and their bad stats and facts.

Thanks though, that was what I was looking for just... more current

I can't for the life of me find this years version. I saw it pre-season but I don't know where it is now.

And yet they finished #11 in the NCAA Division I in the Directors Cup. Guess that win gave you Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and you have tried to block UK from your mind.

Back to the question, as it was aimed at football. UK has lots of freshmen but many are getting redshirts as 2015 is the projected breakout year. Just wondering about 2014.

Georgia has played:

Sony Michel
Nick Chubb
Lorenzo Carter
Dominick Sanders
Isaiah McKenzie
Jeb Blazevich
Rico Johnson
Malkom Parrish
Shaq Jones
Shakenneth Williams
Isaiah Wynn
Dyshon Sims

I think that covers it.

A&M:

Freshmen (true or redshirt) who have started games:

Josh Walker
Amari Watts

ZayCoven Henderson (I think...I could be wrong about that.)
Speedy Noil
Ricky Seals-Jones

Freshmen (true or redshirt) who have played:

Kyle Allen
Nick Harvey
Frank Iheanacho
DeShawn Washington
Qualen Cunningham
Otara Alaka
Jarett Johnson
Jamal Jeffrey
Donovan Wilson (I think)
James White
Boone Neiderhoffer

Actually, I think Vanderbilt has the youngest team in the nation.

We have played 22 true freshman, and will only lose 3 starters to graduation. I think we only have 7 seniors on the roster, and half of them are on the end of the bench. Dooley'd

I hope you're right, Jobu93. I'm having a hard time convincing myself, we've been so, so bad for so, so long.
