People ripped on Saban for calling the Sugar Bowl a consolation game and now you actually want to create a true consolation game.

It'd be just like Bama vs Utah/OU and UF vs Louisville. The players won't care enough to give it their all unless there was a nice prize that they could benefit from, but with the NCAA's shitty rules that won't happen.

Horrible idea!
1. Ole Miss in playoff??? Friends don't let friends drunk rant.
2. If you ain't first your last.
3. Nobody gives a shite about 3rd or 4th. Hell we don't even care about who's number 2.
4. Only an Ole Miss fan would have an orgasm about the possibility of finishing in 3rd place.
5. We are Americans not a bunch euro hooligans and we only care about Number 1!

Almost correct. Alabama would beat ourselves because we wouldn't really be up for that game. Then, since there are no trees in Oklahoma, we would call into the Finebaum show and talk about how Alabama in the 70's was much better than Oklahoma in the 70's.

The NCAA B-ball tourney used to have a "consolation" game for 3rd place back in the 60s.
