I think Ole Miss does have a chance

However, as an outsider on this campus it is pretty bizarre. Auburn hosted Gameday like once a year when I was there so it's just not a big deal to me. We always had huge games garnering national attention so this game is just meh to me. The OM fans here, however, are going batshit insane. Good for them and all, but I think it is going to absolutely crush some of these people if Bama wins.

Many truly are treating this like an SECCG or NCG

When I was in Oxford from 2008 to 2013, we were never in the news or sport headlines for positive things. Insert your race jokes here.I think the hysteria surrounding this weekend is because the Rebel Family is excited that we're going to have positive publicity for once.

Also, largely, our fanbase is social and fraternal, so this is yet another opportunity to head back home and re-connect with those you shared your collegiate days with.

Will we win? Probably not. Will we all have fun? You're damn right.

Why feel sorry for us!?!

If we win... We party... If we lose we party.

Bama wins.. Sister wives get beaten and livestock gets felt up.

Bama loses... Multiple homicides.

Seriously

Poor Ole Miss is building this up as the biggest game in their history. They are so excited. They got Gameday. But they don't have a chance. I feel kinda bad for them.

Meh. If we lose, there's still a shitload of SEC West games to play. If we win, TAMU is the biggest game of the season 7 days later.

The majority of Ole Miss fans understand it will be a tall task to beat Alabama. We aren't as delusional as you want to believe.

We don't define ourselves by football w's and l's. I feel bad for Bama fans. You only get to enjoy two or three wins every year, and every loss is a meltdown. Horrible way to live.

Yeah but that was LSU and State is better than them. Bama is still clearly better than Ole Miss.

The only reason it is big is because when we win, we will be solidly the best team in the SEC.

In the integrated era, it kinda is their biggest game ever.

Gotta go back to 2003 to find anything comparable.

Anyone recall how that ended?

no sec titles in over 50 years will make this game feel that way...and how often are they still undefeated in october?
