Sorry LSU, love Mike but he's not around enough.

Does he leave the games early too?

Imagine the intimidation factor if Mike was allowed to just chill on a leash next to the opposing bench

Couldn't that have the possibility to backfire on us? All the players would be trying to play as hard as possible, to spend as little time as possible.

UT's current mascot, Smokey X, as a pup

If you want to stick to prettiest dog, then it's Reveille, hands down. (Though I also like UT's Smokey.)

For best mascot, though, you just can't beat Mike. LSU wins this one hands down, no contest. To me, that's an unassailable position. Mike will always be #1, even if those cretins don't deserve him.

I agree, but at this point, it's becoming lame since he literally never is on the field anymore. Alabama might as well claim the elephant at the Birmingham zoo as their live mascot.

Be very, very careful, folks. Aggy's looking for a new dog for the Corps to have "relations" with since Reveille got a restraining order.

I have a Coonhound so I'm partial to her glamorous beauty though people have often referred to her as a "he". So I guess she might be a tad bit "butch". But Smokey is very handsome and all the girl dogs love his resonant, manly voice. And Rev? She's also very pretty but is more of the a girlie girl type.

Someone needs to give this dude a cigar. Same with Uga.

That's a fine-lookin' dog, for sure.

That's some serious hound dog right there!

Question: Has Smokey ever had an encounter with a raccoon? A few nights ago, my hound spotted one standing on the table on my patio and you would have thought someone had stolen her kibbles. She lit up the entire neighborhood for damn near an hour before I could get her to settle down.

I just realized that the SEC is the only major conference where several schools actually have live mascots. Other than Bevo, I can't think of any others from different leagues.

All the dogs of the SEC are fine-lookin' dogs but Rev's the only female so she wins the "pretty" contest, though all the boy dogs are quite the gentlemen, unless of course someone happens to encroach on some personal space. That's why I was surprised at Finebaum's bravery this past weekend. I guess more than anything else, Uga was intrigued by his mug.

Reveille is the 'prettiest' but I would take Smokey every day of the week.
