Oh piss off

You're just another idiot who thinks firing a 10 win coach will solve all our problems.

You know what Miles, Saban, and Gus have all had in their SECCG and Natty seasons? fricking luck

Miles backs his arse into the 2007 debacle

Saban doesn't get shite housed for not winning the West like Richt did for not winning the East in 2007.

Gus doesn't win the natty but he had OSU shitting the bed and a miracle vs us to play in the natty

Richt went 13-1 in 2002 but had OSU lucking out to a natty

2007 has already been explained

2012 Alabama just happened to tip the ball ruining what would have been a possible TD

And don't give me this bs that we should have spiked it. What the frick does that do besides give Bama time to regroup. The play was drawn up to be a TD pass and at worst would have fallen incomplete which would stop the clock

I don't know if you forgot about this or not, but we were 5 yards away from going to the National Championship two years ago. It's not like Richt has not been close. On top of that, Richt is an offensive guy. As you said he was the OC at FSU and in case you forgot offense hasn't been our problem over the last ____ amount of years. Yes, we had a ton of NFL talent, but most of that was on the defense and criminally underused by our defensive coordinators.

Thoughts on your coach suggestions:
Mullen - 3-22 against ranked opponents. I'll pass.
Freeze - born in Oxford so there is a very good possibility he wouldn't leave. Hasn't done anything of note yet.
Franklin - Outstanding coach and recruiter. Would be a much better option if he was from the south. He'll do great at Penn St. because he knows the area so well. Not sure if the same would happen at UGA.

Or maybe we get a Zook, followed by a Zook, followed by another "CMR" and our great grandkids are having this debate decades from now.

Point is - Richt has us with a chance just about every year. He gets the recruits, taken us to the SECCG numerous times, fills the seats, keeps booster money at all time highs........

Fact is, I donate and I wouldn't want another coach to come in and, like you said, be a Zook.

And to the point earlier - can't Remember the last NC winner that didn't have big arse luck getting there or in the game itself.....

First of all. Colorado players cannot smoke pot and be eligible. The students whi attend school only also be expelled for the selling of and / or use of any illicit drug , per Federal Drug enforcement. Know something before you speak.

Secondly, you seriously need some anger managemt classes.
Do you have any think pertinent to say other than F u and F this , and blow this.

People come here for entertainment and to discuss UGA rationally.

I'm sorry some of us have a different opinion than you do. And for those of us who are old enough to remember how crappy Dooley really was, and how much fun 80-83 was , because we were at the games; you are more than welcome to band wagon jump to another school if you don't like the team your on. #adawgwhosawrunlinsayruninperson

In case you forgot, he is a HC now. You are a pathetic douchebag for making that argument.

Yes, he is. That being said he excels as a coach on the offensive side of the ball. The same way that Sumlin, Briles, and Biliema are all better on the offensive side and Strong, Saban, and Patterson are all better on the defensive side. The head coach does have an impact on that, but if you have a strong coordinator in an area where you are weak (like Fisher with Pruitt, Meyer with Strong, Miles with Pelini, Brown with Chizik, Carroll with Chow, or Tressel with Dantonio) it is significantly easier to have a national championship team.

Remind me of CMR's record against Zook please.

Remind me of Richts record against all other SEC teams.....and how does he rank against top 25 opponents compared to other coaches with min. 10 games coached???

ETA: 1-2, small sample size in a 13 year history...

Urban was a pretty dang good coach himself. So was Strong. The three of them leaving was a terrible combination for that program.

I could actually see that. They are almost last in SEC revenue I believe.

He might. I like certainty because I don't want our program to end up like Michigan, Tennessee, or Florida.

UGA V everybody has their own opinion, and I'll respect yours! But you come on here and act like a 10 year old and you do not bring any real discussion just a bunch of dribble that is just another chance for you to bash the coaches!

Mark Richt is the best UGA coach of the last 50 years. Richt runs a clean program and Georgia games are tops for thrills. I wish Richt was a little bit smarter (learn when to spike) and a bit less boring.

Overall, I'm very pleased. I'd rather have an exciting team and a boring coach than having an exciting coach and a boring team.

Yeah you gave them, and like I said I will respect your opinion. But you then respond to my post by saying is the 17 in my username my age or my IQ! Stuff like this is and the constant bashing of the coaches are the reasons why everybody thinks your either a kid or a alter!

Richt has had us in the national title hunt once every 5ish years. Now, that may or may not be impressive to you, and considering we have such a fertile recruiting state he should definitely have a title by now. His unlucky factor is strong though, and I'm not sure which available coach out there would be a definite, without a doubt upgrade.

Plus, Richt will retire from UGA and Bobo will be his successor, so you might as well get comfortable UGA V

I've grown beyond my desire to get rid of CMR after watching the last few years of the thuggery, "processing" and overall looking the other way that other programs do constantly. It pains me to say this...but I've bought into The Georgia Way and no matter how much I bitch, moan and hate on everyone after a loss.....I'd rather have a straight up guy who tries to play within the rules than some narcissist that wants to win at any cost and cheats the whole time doing it (aka Auburn).

If the stars ever align and we do pull off the natty....it'll make it that much sweeter.

Couldn't have said it better. Especially the Auburn part. Funny what being a mediocre university in the middle of nowhere, in a third-world state will do to people when they're in the shadow of a top-tier football school like Bama (which cheats just as bad, only hides it better).
