Yeah I was talking about the long ball, he didn't fix it over the spring / summer I don't see why anyone would believe he can fix it before next week. As far as Reed goes I admitted to E that he played lights out against Kstate. Do you blame me for saying he sucked prior to that? He looked like shite in the first two games.
I'll need to see more from Reed to declare I was wrong about him, but I've seen enough from Nick in one and a half seasons to know he's always going to be inconsistent. If he turns it around right now and becomes a 70% passer I'll gladly eat crow, but like I said he hasn't done it in a year and a half why should anyone believe it's going to happen miraculously overnight.

I have given up on the idea that Nick will be a dominant passer I just want him and our WRs to do enough to open the run game. Nick has definitely shown that ability
Trovon Reed has the potential to be lights out but I am still holding back judgment

It's amazing it took so long to put him at DB. Millions of dollars well spent.

You know, at least Marshall isn't under throwing the long balls to be intercepted. I'd much rather him over throw than under throw.

I rewatched the first few series last night. KSU safeties were selling out on run support, if we would have hit some of the first drops, it would have opened the run game.
Also, NM didn't read the zone read at all (it appeared). The QB keep around the end was open for 6-8 yards and RB inside was not. He still handed it off to RB for minimal gain on more than one occassion.

Was it? Some of us weren't able to hear the tv during the game. When you are consistently overthrowing your deep ball by more than a few yards, you need to put some air under it.

NOPE.
Go to youtube and watch the replay of the full game. At the 2 hr and 45 sec mark you will find the play. Coates bent over in the end zone and dropped the catchable pass. He then fell down.
He did not dive.

He did bend down to try and catch it, but then dove or fell (unclear for me) on a second attempt to catch it. However, I did miss the first attempt at catching the ball. He should have caught it then. In real time I only saw when he had the ball at his finger tips.
