How many balls were completed on Vern against UK and Bama? How many yds did he give up? Come up with the numbers and then we will talk.
Fowler was very active in weeks 1 and 2. Played the run really well against Bama. Bama is lucky they have the OL talent to double fowler or chip him on throws. It makes a difference in numbers. Again, how many hurries does Fowler have?
I do watch the games, and from your remarks, I watch them in greater detail while seeing the entire picture of the D. Instead of belittling the play of those that have earned the praise, bitch about those that continue to underperform.

I don't know why anybody would bitch about Fowler and Vernon. Those 2 are the least of our worries right now.

I do watch the games, though I admit I've been getting quite drunk during them lately.
I'm just sick of getting my hopes up and hearing all this offseason hype about how good our players are, then getting shredded on defense and having a limp dick offense.
Hargreaves is really good. He was a hella highly touted recruit and played very well as a freshman. I think analysts and announcers just kinda bought into the storyline that he was going to become an elite player and so they just anointed him the best corner in the country. He's good and maybe he'll become that one day, but I definitely noticed him getting picked on vs Bama and a few times vs Kentucky. So did my non florida fan friends.
Fowler always plays pretty well but i mean he's a defensive end. Get some damn sacks then maybe we'll talk first round.
At the end of the day, a first round DE should terrorize college O-linemen. Combine that with the best corner in college football and teams will have a really, really tough time passing it on you. So why the hell are we getting embarrassed? I'm simply presenting the possibility that these guys aren't as good as we think.

I DO watch games and maybe you should come over during away games and sit on my sofa and watch with me..I could point out the double teams on Fowler and the white on rice coverage by VH3...the blown coverages had nothing to do with VH3, BTW...VH3 was "anointed best corner in the country by knowledable football gerus who get paid to render such observations...and I watched VH3 during AA high school game and he was a man amongst the boys in high school AA game with some of the best talent in the country..
And when Fowler isn't double teamed (or sometimes even when he is) he is in qbs face constantly. No, they are not over rated....both will be high draft picks.

Never gotten drunk in my life, or really touched an ounce of alcohol.
With my luck I'll get liver trouble anyway.
