Bingo. Goes back to scouting again. We're nowhere near up to par in that department.

DO you think it's complacency and GOBN or have we just been pilfered of our best talent?

GOBN is a big part of why they got complacent. Instead of constantly striving to get get better, they started patting themselves on the back for all those divisional titles. They let a lot of the good talent go in stupid trades, then never properly developed the studs they were supposed to have. Heyward, Francouer, Schaefer, all guys who were projected to be franchise cornerstones that never properly developed. Heyward is the best of that bunch, but he's never going to be the superstar that his talent should have made him.

This is a step in the right direction, I just hope Schuerholz and Bobby don't drown out the most intelligent voice in the room in John Hart.

Biggest elephants in the room are BJ and Simmons assuming Freddi is gone.

Simmons is fine. his defense makes up for his lack of offensive production

BJ and Chris need to gtfo though

Simmons is not the issue. Do you watch baseball?

He's one of the best defensive SS in the game

So who gets "credit" for Simmons,Freddy Freeman,Minor,Kimbrel,Gattis,Wood etc?

Did they develop them "properly" and the others
not "properly"

Francour and Heyward put solid numbers when they 1st came up...especially Francouer.Sorry, don't blame the Braves one bit for his downfall. He never could make the proper adjustments once MLB pitchers got the book on 'em.Do you really blame the Braves for Heywards lack of production? Sorry,
I believe it falls on him especially his lack of productivity vs lefties.

Yeah Andruw Jones was the best defensive CF in the game but that meant little with career lows in hitting, just saying.

I'm willing to wait on Simmons but not too long.

Simmons couldn't hit a beach ball, defensive skill is natural ability and instincts.

Freeman is a good player who is becoming too free-swinging. His numbers will steadily decline if he doesn't fix it, just like Frenchy's did.

Minor, Kimbrel, and Wood are pitchers, Braves have always developed them well. They have great coaching in place when it comes to pitching.

Gattis is also a one trick power pony who left the game to be a nomad, then come back and mashes. That's not coaching, that's again just having natural taken in the power department.

Remember when Heyward first came up? He was so patient at the plate and waited for his pitch, then crushed it when it came. Bobby Cox walked up to him after a game and said they needed more production out of him, and if he wanted to put up those numbers, he needed to swing the bat more. After that, Heyward has never been the same. He strikes out all the time and became a hacker just like Francouer. I blame Bobby for turning both of them into undisciplined hackers.

Huh?Good lord,I was never a huge Bobby Cox fan but to blame him for those players decline is freakin absurd...especially when he hasn't coached Heyward in 3 YEARS.
