What do they do in practice? We've heard so many good things about JD from the beat writers only for things to go horribly wrong during the season.

Dmb, your prediction of this game on recruiting?

I dont this really affects recruiting that much.

Heck, we struggled with Kentucky and hung with Bama for more almost 3 Qs.

I bet recruits are still confused as to what to make of us.

Driskel is a mental midget. He is an increadable athelete but it is obvious to me he is running the one play that gets called into him whether it's there or not he's passing it to who is called. He has no mental capacity to read a defense and think on his feet that's the reason for or poor offensive production. His performance in the first quarter of the Tennessee game will speak volumes about or coaching staff. If it is status quo and he's not benched then the coaching staff is as delusional as it gets and deserves to be fired.

I think both Muschamp and Driskel are on the hotseat.

If Muschamp is gone after this season, I seriously doubt Driskel is the starter next year.

You don't think he will go high in the draft this year?

The O line gave Driskel plenty of time in the game. From what I recall they gave up only one sack. We rushed 27 times for 107yds 4YPC. That's pretty good against a team that only gave up 47 yds a game while missing your starting LT and Brown going down early.

Yep. People bitching about our running game and the OL did not watch the game yesterday.

They were the ONLY bright spots on offense.

I doubt it has much affect. It's all going to depend on HC situation.

One of the things I watched yesterday closely was Jeff's demeanor when he talking to other players and was on the sideline. He lacked the leadership a great qb would possess in my opinion....its not there.
He didn't lose the game for us...the fumble in the third qt was huge...it looked like a clean hnad off to Matt Jones and I think # 24 owns it. It was a huge turn around and we were poised to go up on the scoreboard to start the second half (21-21 when fumbled)..we had the ball in their territory and easy sledding...instead they go down the field and score...end of game.

Our OL did not play that well...we could get no push whatsoever against their YOUNG DL and Driskel constantly had hands in his face. That's a big difference....watch Sims and he had clear view downfield most of his passes. We needed to get Driskel out of the pocket more and the couple of times he did roll to his right he did complete short passes.

You have to tip your cap to Bama...at the half we held a slight lead in rushing yardage and our defense just plain stopped their run game cold and dared them to throw....and they did...and beat us with great passing really. Once our defense got tired in late 3rd qt it was over and they ran the ball. Conversely we couldn't run..but the one thing that burnt my shorts was our last possession before the half when we had the ball close to our 20 yd line with about 2 minutes left and at least two timeouts...we let the clock run down...WTF? You have to be aggressive and I know Boom was worried that we might turn the ball over...but you execute 2 min drill with safe passes....a FG would have been great morale boost.

They were still pretty horrible.

First and foremost: Guess who scored on the ground?

Driskel.

Guess who had both touchdowns associated with him on offense yesterday?

Driskel.

Guess who was our lead rusher?

Driskel.

59 yards out of 107.

An average of 5.4 yards.

This happens every time with JD.

You guys want to make him out to be the bad guy every time, and the fact is: He was the only person on our offense that seemed to give it everything he had.

The rest of the time our receivers look like they're jogging.

They're dropping passes that are thrown absolutely perfectly. Even Danielson said that you can't throw them better than he did.

And a lot of times on his wide throws, they were outright covered and those throws were probably on purpose.

The deep balls were designed plays from the sideline and it's obvious.

His first interception? Our receiver had both hands clap over it, he fricking missed a throw that would have been an easy grab.

Just watch the demeanor of our receivers vs. the demeanor of Alabama's, who sacrifice life and limb to make sure they catch passes.

We simply need a whole new coaching staff, Driskel is the guy to keep -- he's the only guy on offense that seems to give a shite.

Recap: Led the team in rushing and yards per rush, was involved on the only two touchdowns to start the game.

On the road at Bama ain't anything to frick with, and out of our entire offense I felt like he was literally the only one who wanted to win. The only one who didn't quit, look at his demeanor when he scrambled to get the first down.

Dude wants to win, the rest of the team have got to start supporting him.

Christ man... More than half of those came after Bama went up by 21...

Jones and Taylor BOTH had success on the ground when the game was in doubt.

What success?

Taylor had 11 yards on the game...

Jones had 37.

Their ypa were below 3.

Driskel was literally our entire offense yesterday.

Driskel should not be our QB against Tennessee in a couple of weeks. He should be riding the pine. In 17 games played he has showed 0 improvement. Bring in a true freshman who actually has a chance of getting better instead of letting us continue to struggle in our mediocrity.

This just isn't true. He did better in both Kentucky and EMU than he ever has.

I think on the road against Alabama is probably a pretty poor place to talk about his success.

And Kentucky is better than people think, you'll see.

I still think we have a chance at the East with LSU losing to MSU. It's a new offense and it can't be known immediately with a dude whose never had any help.

Honestly, the SEC may be in trouble although I like that we're switching our offenses around -- that is the right thing to do.

But Mizzou looks fricking horrible.

LSU blew it.

South Carolina and Georgia look pretty good, but I think we're better than both of them.

Vanderbilt is horrible.

We actually have a pretty good chance, but I don't want to keep Muschamp. I'm hoping he gets released early this year just so we can have the assistant HC run things to see the difference in approach and philosophy.

Something I would like to see for the Tennessee game is this. Treon getting a series or 2 in the game to see what happens, and not running the wildcat, running the offense.

This is what will happen

1. Treon will come in and do poorly and that leaves no doubt in the fans minds that JD is the best we got and were not relying o practice reports and were judging off of actual gametime.

Or...

2. Treon will out perform JD and eventually become the starter.
