I remember Grantham always having a towel boy cover his body when he was signaling plays [/quote]
And it worked so well that we had the worst statistical defense in our history. The towel boy made it all the more embarrassing.

The way Auburn is accused of doing last night? no...the way coach saban and bama did. by hiring our asst coach and putting him in the pressbox with a set of binoculars and communication headset?...dirty, slimey, shady shite. and cheating, too.

Jealous much?

He77 no! Letting the opponent steal those signs is the crime. In war, you constantly try to decode and break the enemies commo, the spoils to the victors. Bottom line, protect your shat or shut up.

If you're recording them to break down later, yes.
Otherwise, no.

Coincidentally Auburn planted leyland cypress trees down Samford Avenue. I'm pretty sure thats the only visible vantage point where you can see the practice field. The side closest to the old indoor facility Im not 100% certain of.

erum...uhh...well, maybe. but only just a little.

If you flash them for all to see, do a better job of disguising.
I would have someone going over film of each opponent to pick up on this very thing. Ask me I'd
tell you yes I stole your signs. Next time hide them better.
Qb's making changes and calls at the line...if I can steal those I am going to. Line calls too. Nothing wrong with it.

Dammit...I gotta agree with an AU fan.
Give me a couple chances watching a catcher, I can call what pitch is being called. Even when the catcher uses an indicator with a runner on second, a couple pitches to the batter, I can still figure out the pitch.

So, you got past AA ball? With that skill no reason you did not make the bigs as a manager.....which club you work for?
Posted on 9/19/14 at 5:44 pm to td01241
the aggies stole our signs and shoplifted some pussy and defiled our state house, all before leaving Columbia.

AA for the Pirates. Late 80's early 90's. Not really a difficult skill to master when you know situations/score/tendencies. I still do it watching MLB games on TV.

Maybe not illegal, but very poor sportsmanship.
Not surprised by the allegations though.

They're clearly displaying their signs in public. It's public communication...the same as if they were to break a huddle and scream "ok, we're running up the middle this time". It's not cheating.
Posted on 9/19/14 at 6:48 pm to justausedcarguy
No its not. If your signals are so easy that they can be figured out over 1 game, that's on you.
Posted on 9/19/14 at 6:50 pm to KSGamecock
It has come up a lot more here of late. And it seems to be part of the game. The old school guys say its Busch league. But if you put it out there I think it's fair game. An old school huddle would probably solve it. Like it or not the game is changing and I'm not sure I like it.

when I read that about the game last night I laughed my arse off at KSU. How can it be cheating if someone figures out what your signals are; that you are doing in front of the whole damn stadium and nation when you are on ESPN Thursday night.
