K state didn't seem to respect Marshall throwing the ball.
Like Miss St last year, that is what got them beat.

Missing three field goals is what got them beat.

Let's be real... how many college kickers are going to make two FGs of 40+ yards in that wind?.... maybe 10-20% of the kickers out there? The chip shot should've been made, no doubt.

Then there is also the fumble on their side of the field which gave you guys your first 3 points and the long drive they had down the field that ended up in a tipped ball in the endzone where an Auburn defender just happened to be in the right spot to easily catch the tip that should have been 7.

should he not have been near the receiver in the endzone?

Well, lets give him the game ball for "being near the receiver."

They did not stack the box. Their dline just flat out played harder. They rushed four and were still get significant pressure on Marshall.

Correct. In fact, after their number one cover corner got hurt, KSU went to more 5 & Dime stuff to make up for it. Problem was they kept doubling the wrong receiver most of the night.

You keep talking about "luck". How lucky was it to have one flag thrown against you, only to have it nullified by a horrible call on the back end?

How many times did AU fumble and recover it?

We had a turnover as well on a tipped ball... was that also luck?

We caught some breaks... they caught some breaks (not one penalty hard the entire game)... we just caught more. We also out gained them by 75 yards... had more first downs, ran more plays, had more TOP, converted more 3rd downs.

The better won... I don't think that's up for debate.

You see the luck where you want to see it.

Well, I know that you guys aren't going to see it the way everyone else did. It's your team. You don't want to admit that you sucked and should have lost. That's fine. I'm not going to change your minds. The season will at some point though.

They were simply very, very disciplined. They didn't stack the box all the time either although they did a few times but the thrust of what they did was the result of having all juniors and seniors who maintained their gaps.

I think KSU was lucky to only get beat by six points.

KST were fools, they should of played with a 3 man front, and they would of completely shut down the Auburn Offense and won the game. Even when the 3 man front falters, continue to use it, play after play.

Sincerely,
