You did a little side-stepping of your own. An auto correct also doesn't explain away an error, fallacy is a correct word itself. And hey, I'm on my phone too. Have you read this?
I have. I think since you are so interested in commas and punctuation in general, you would enjoy it. I also minored in linguistics and became fluent in Latin at an elite school. Did you know that there is no English language authority? Yes, despite what your freshman level writing manual told you, the only thing that really matters is communication. You could've realized this if you had, for example, ever opened up any type of literature. But apparently you haven't.
