The Ducks are 23.5 point favorites. Line opened at 19.5.

I like the Cougs because my lil bro lives there but they seriously have zero chance this year.

At least Aliotti won't be around to bitch this time when The Pirate keeps firing his first string cannons until the final gun.

Finish better than third in your own division before you start saying you're competing

Oregon won the the pac from 2009 - 2011 and went to a BCS bowl and played in the 2nd best bowl game for the PAC last year. It's really not failure.

At the end of the day, Oregon could go toe to toe with anyone. Last year I wanted nothing to do with BAMA.

Honestly I think ESPN just likes to jump on the Nike bandwagon in hopes of driving clicks and ratings. It's really nothing more than that.

Nike has always tremendous brand awareness and now the Ducks do too. Not like the Ducks didn't build a lot of that themselves with on field success but it's hard to separate the two organizations at this point.

What's hard to know right now is if Helfrich can truly sustain what Bellotti and Kelly built up into the top program on the West Coast right now. Last year he stumbled hard against Stanford and Zona but they've fought through it so far and look dominating so far this year. I sure as hell wouldn't bet against them in any Pac 12 games anytime soon but it's damn hard to predict just what games they'll lay an egg in (please let it be on Nov 29!).

Helfrich is a much more aggressive recruiter than Chip. I think at the end of the day that will sustain our success.

He looks leaps and bounds more in control of the team this year. It's markedly different.

I think we have to scrap the defensive scheme at some point. I just can't stand the read and react scheme. With two NFL DEs and an all American corner, We should be getting better production from the defense.

No, just no.. Oregon cannot go toe to toe with anyone. You will get beat by 2 TD's against BAMA, LSU, Auburn. Wishful thinking there bud. Move along

Where did you get 2TD's from? Idk man, Auburn beat Washington State last year by only 1TD at Jordan Hare...

While I'm not saying we would necessarily beat any of those teams, you make it sound like the sec is invincible and no other teams come even close.

Yeah when you think about it, how is Oregon supposed to compete with the SEC when they can't even win the Pac12.
