The theme of the Florida Alabama game analysis has been

"Alabama might not be good at these things cause we haven't seen them have to do it yet"

"Florida might be better at these things they were terrible at last year but we haven't seen them do it yet"

Therefore, Florida will win.

Makes sense.

I don't know what all this is about Bama's QB. Give him a break. He's too short to see the tight end.

And just because the ball goes straight up in the air, doesn't mean he can't throw it, oh about 50 yards, give or take a yard or two.

Hey, he looks at one receiver, what do you want? And if Cooper ain't open, he knows what to do. He runs.

So what if everybody is just going to load up and dare him to throw it down the field? They don't need a down field passing game.

It's Alabama, damn it. The Crimson freaking Tide!

Florida could win but they will need some breaks. Really difficult to determine. Both of them have played one team with a pulse and we really don't know how good WVU and UK are.

I don't see a greatly improved Florida team. They are healthier right now, but they still have some of the same problems that led to the less than stellar record in 2013. QB play is still suspect, and KY proved the defense isn't as improved as one might have thought after the first game.

I think Bama will be able to mix the run and pass effectively to keep FL on their heels most of the game. The Gators will be able to move the ball some on our defense, however, so I don't expect a complete blowout.

Florida only averaged 4.7 yards per rush against Kentucky. They are going to struggle running against Alabama. On top of that, Driskel is going to have to complete his own passes down the field, because for all the Blake Sims short throw talk Driskel has done as much or more of it.

If he can do that then have a chance. If not they are going to be suffocated.

Really? I'd have thought that a Reb fan would want an undefeated Tide team rolling into Oxford...oh well.

The problem that led to the 2013 4-8 record is an insane amount of injuries, we aren't dealing with that problem right now.

Which would have put you at a tie for 9th in the conference last season. And that was against Kentucky.

As a comparison, here are some YPC averages from the SEC last season (over the entire season, not against a mediocre to bad defense)

Auburn - 6.3
Bama - 5.8
Mizzou - 5.7
Arky - 5.3
A&M - 5.2
LSU - 5

It's still a piece of shite though.

This is some ground breaking stuff here. FIRST TIME I'VE HEARD "Sims will have to throw the ball over 10 yards if Bama stands a chance"

You sir are a pioneer.
