The national championship is solely on the defense & special teams. Our offense performed more than well enough to leave with a victory. Chris Davis makes 1 play we win. Cody Parkey kicks the ball through the end zone we win.

I have never felt more confident in an Auburn team in my life.

I was always nervous that Coach Dye and Tubs would "blow it" eventually.

I was up and down with Tot and Chizik.

Now, with Gus, I am even cocky about NEXT year. JJ and ROC with #55 back from injury?

Yes....

We comin is year and next!

The offense did their part, Nick did outstanding on the last drive keeping the drive alive.

I do still get nervous but not as much as I have I the past. Could be that we have two awesome QB and are a running team first and that is more sound than a wild fragile passing team... But we look like a wild passing team.

If our defense became as stout as the offense...

Yeah I'm pretty damn cocky about this team under Malzahn and I have yet to have a reason not to be.

2010 was probably my favorite year. I was nervous as hell many games but that made the wins even better. And I loved the UGA and bama games. All the hate made the wins even bigger and even more of a frick u to the Cam haters.

Last year is second. Would be first if..

2004 was great, but I never felt anyone we played had a chance against us after the LSU game. It was very enjoyable but no one was even going to challenge us and each week was just a question of how much would we win by and would OSU or USC lose. Never felt so confident about any team as tgat 2004 team and still think they may have been the best team in SEC history overall.

Days out before games I get excited just thinking about getting to watch his offense. I start thinking about things that I could potentially see. As kickoff grows closer on gameday, my football boner grows longer.

Rig, I'm the same way about us right now, but the west is probably the most loaded it has ever been.

It was different in 2004. We had no weaknesses and there was never really any question whether or not we were going to win, no matter who we were playing.

Last year to me was more fun than both 2004 and 2010

I think I got the least amount of work done ever in my life in the Autumn of 2010.

I could not agree more. I already can't get anything done just thinking about Thursday night.

And to the guy who said he's comfortable up 14. I honestly have not felt like we were out of a game since Gus took over. Even when a team ties up the game with a huge momentum play, I still never feel as though we will lose.

Me either. I actually kind of like the closer games because I know I'm about to see something special from the offense. Plus even though the defense isn't Tubb's level, they're still good for a few amazing plays now and then. I think eventually we'll see more consistency from the defense. I just keep thinking about how they looked at the beginning of the Georgia and FSU games last year and the end of the Arkansas game this year. If they can put together a whole game like that, then we'll start blowing out some really good teams.

I feel very relaxed when we have a 14 point lead...that was rare under Tubs.

Interesting. Tubs had D's that could protect those leads even if we did just see the games out a lot of the time. I don't remember losing many where we had big leads.

I never feel comfortable with our defense now and the way our offense goes through dry spells in a game.
