I felt like mason played decent minus the intentional grounding call and the botched snaps. Does anybody else notice that Mason moves before it seems like he has the ball under center I noticed it like 6 times and that may be a reason why he has mishandled the snap. It's like he anticipates too soon the ball getting there. Just an observation

Yeah I noticed that too on the reply of one of the botched snaps. He was turning his body before he had the ball, just like a receiver not looking the ball in.

Dawgs seemed a little flat compared to a home game vs Clemson but that's to be expected on the road in an environment like that. A week off didn't help along with reading their press. Gurley's a man among boys but the Cocks focused on him and Bobo had no effective answer at times. He still got his yards and is Heisman material if I've ever seen it. Spurrier had a great offensive plan and they executed. Pruitt's had better games. Clemson letdown. It ain't over.

On one of those snaps Andrews helmet came off on the previous play and he had to leave the field and the backup center, I believe it was Hunter Long, was in the game.

ok after rewatching it sober....MAson did derp it up pretty bad...if he throws it away like any other normal QB, we still have 3 chances to get 4 yards.

I won't say he lost the game for us though, because that's not true, but damn what he did was pretty stupid.

So how are we gonna do next year with a new qb who probably won't get any playing time this season? If we can't win the SEC, then there is no reason not to play Faton/Park/Ramsey this year (not start, but get some PT). We gotta give them game experience or next year we can expect 2-3 losses again just b/c of the lack of experience. Hell if they can't start over Mason, then yeah I would say we are fricked next year too. We have no Gurley to bail us out like this year.

So again "genius" how does not playing the qb of the future any this season, gonna benefit us next year? Is it that hard to understand? Game experience >>>>> practice. Not hard to understand.

probably not very well, and I've been saying that since this summer. has nothing to do with saturday. RBs will be stout, OL should be average again. We lose our top receivers, Gurley, a few OL, both ILBs, likely Floyd, and some DL. We also rotate bama onto the schedule from the west.

Sure there is, they dont' give us a better chance to win games. We're frickin 1-1. We may not be in the drivers seat for the final 4, but we can still win the east. You play the best guy who gives you the best chance to win, period. And that's mason.

YOu don't play "for the future", you play to win the frickin game you're in at the time.

You've gotta a serious memory problem

Mason is much better than Cox.

You forget why Cox was bad...he had a big turnover problem.

Mason hasn't turned the ball over yet this year, you stupid creep.

It was NOT intentional grounding.

Hicks was within 1 yard of the ball.

The referees cheated, you stupid frick.

So having the backup center in doesn't make one bit of difference? You ever took a snap in your life?

Now that the weekend woes have ended, I can look back on it and realize that while Mason did make his share of mistakes, he did not cost us the game. He's not the leader that will grab the ball and say, "damn it, I'll just do this myself" and win the game, but he did what he needed to do for the most part to give us a shot at winning.

He's not great, but he's good enough. He helped the offense to put up more points on USCe at WB than any other UGA offense in recent history. It just wasn't enough with our defensive struggles. The loss was a team loss.

Mason is a Joe Cox clone, just b/c he hasn't had any int's yet doesn't make it true.

Weak arm, Joe Cox [check], Mason [check]

Not a leader, Cox [check], Mason [check]

Many mental mistakes, Cox [check], Mason [check]

And this was Mason's 1st game as a starter vs an SEC defense, so let the season play out and I'm sure he will have 10+ ints if he starts the whole season and dont' get yanked.

And there were at least 5 passes Mason made, that woulda been picked off if we played a team w/ a better 2ndary. Mason doesn't have 'it' at qb, he gets to scared and hardly steps up in the pocket, he is inaccurate (hardly hits receiver in stride) and makes many mental mistakes. But hey your right, that doesn't sound anything like J Cox.

I am not saying he is Joe Cox. I think the talent is there but he is playing tight.
