"Had we won?" Well yea I'd be a little more optimistic.

And when we win next week....do we go 11-1 again? You guys swing from one end fo the spectrum to the other over night. This is the same team that beat Clemson and we were all proclaiming a SEC Championship along with a Final Four invitation.

Chances are this team fits somewhere in between the week 1 performance and the one we got Saturday. And that's STILL pretty good.....check that...very good.

.who needs a defense or a SEC Championship caliber QB or a coaching staff???

And yet last week we were all saying the coaching staff is excellent and Mason was fine and the defense was greatly improved base on the Clemson game. now we throw all that out the window and get ready to brand this team, defense and coaching staff as hot garbage?

Makes perfect sense.

Gurley was totally exhausted after fighting the good fight with too little blocking on too many plays. I saw Marshall run the ball one time and ran into a brick wall.

And yet, against a team we thought had a better front 7 we ran the ball at will.

Most of you guys were predicting 3-4 score wins against South Carolina based upon their showing against A&M. Georgia fans have GOT to quit basing opinions and observations based upon one game.

Our fans on this board are the biggest all in or all off fans based upon a single game I have ever been around. I guess we should tell the players to expect a 5 loss season based upon this thread and their showing this past Saturday.

Come on one man. We looked amazing in beating Clemson. It was one of the most complete games we've played in a while. Most of us were very confident going into the USC game.

So using the last 40 years as indication of what we do THIS year......does this mean we will never win another National Championship? We will never win 11 games again?

Sure, we will win. 11 games again...but it will take at least 12 and most likely 13 or 14 to be national champions.

National title? I don't know...my heart says we will win a couple before I reach room temperature but, with the exception of 2012 we haven't been close since 1983...31 years ago. I don't think Richt wins one because he does not take advantage of the chances he has and is never fully prepared to strike when the iron is hot (2012, 2007?). That means another coach. If you figure Richt stays another 6 - 10 years, then we go through a couple of coordinators turned head coach before we find the right person...who knows? Realistically? I don't think we see a natty in the next 20 years. There are too many schools that do what it takes to win 'em and UGA ain't one of them. Of course if winning national titles was the only reason you are a dawg fan you are very disappointed.....

We played a complete half...and we do that from time to tine...he'll in 2012 we even played a complete game against Alabama....we just don't do it often enough to be a consistent contender....

it took a freak accident for Auburn to beat us last year. I'm confident we take them at home this year. Gotta take care of business at Missouri, but USC will drop another SEC game, but we have to win out.

How many games do we have to drop before we see Brice Ramsey get some snaps? I would love to see an elite arm throwing to our receivers out there. I'm reminded of Joe T when I watch Mason sometimes.

Yes we were....and now most are wanting to send the season into the dumpster. It's crazy. Chaces of us going 12-0 are slim and none. (Actually none, now) But those chances are the same for everybody else, too. We will be fine. Leave meltdowns for other fan bases, is what I am saying. Get on an even keel.

People on here chalking up 4 losses right now apparently never played sports at any kind of high level. Teams simply do not think the way our fan base does. You don't get too high over one win and you ty not to get too low over one loss.

Absolutely. If we beat Auburn and Florida we will be in the SECCG. Of course, that is assuming Florida beats SC in Florida, which I think will happen. We'll see. (We have to beat Missouri, too, but I feel like we will do that.

Mason is exactly what we expected. He si good at the short to medium routes. We saw that last year. He threw for 300 yards in two games and can and will do the same again. He has done exactly what the coaches have asked him to do. Remember....he is running the plays that are called from the sideline. MOST that are being called right now are designed for short pick ups. He is completing the passes.....

it took an epic meltdown on Auburns part for us to even be in the game.....just another in a long list of games where we look like national champions for 30 minutes and look like Vanderbilt for the other 30 minutes....

7-5 is a worst case scenario, you stupid shithead.

The Dawgs have Gurley and a big stable of the best RBs in the nation.

That will win some of the games you label as sure losses.

Did the 100 yard pick six Worley threw against Oklahoma make him look better than Mason?

You are a fricking idiot.

Absolutely....we have no defense and our offense is not good enough even with the best back in CFB to pound and pound and run the clock.

NOW...if Gurley gets 40 touches a game and we avoid going 3 and out 10 times a game?? Then we have a shot....but I don't see it happening. First of all Gurley ain't getting 40 touches a game for some reason...either our coaches are idiots, Gurley is not in that type of shape, or a combination of the two. Of course it might help also if we tried to bounce one of the 5 backs we have who will play on Sundays outside instead of between the tackles....just once in a while to prove it doesn't work either....

Exactly. It's any fan base. Alabama fans actually made a firenicksaban.com or something. It's annoying to hear Georgia fans act like it's just Georgia fans.

It's also annoying that there are those who want to cling to the negative view point and those who feel compelled to shite rainbows to make up for it. Call a spade a spade. Georgia isn't as good as everyone thought and too many focused on the 2nd half of Clemson. They won't go to the playoffs but if Gurley stays healthy they won't be going to the Charmin shite Bowl.

Our coaches would be idiots if they gave Gurley the ball 40 times.

He would be at increased risk of injury and he would become less effective as he became tired.

So why play him at all...why not wait until the 4th quarter and then turn him lose with fresh legs alla soccer coaches?

If Gurley is as good as it looks like he is he would only get better during the game with every carry....that is the definition of a power running back.

If he does indeed get tired and less effective during the game then he is not as good as he looks. I ain't buying it....good tailbacks get stronger as the game progresses because they are in better physical shape than defensive linemen....especially as hard as it is to rotate d-linemen in CFB with the way the clock is managed....

Tailbacks are different animals from every other position on the field....the great ones get better with every carry...they don't get tired and less effective....they tire out the defense and get more effective as the game progresses.
