could look at last years 5 losses including a loss to Vandy and OT needed against a crap UT team and GT.

You could also look at our personnel in those games.

10-2 and in the championship game.
Missouri looks weak, and I don't see UGA dropping one to Florida, Arkansas, or Missouri. Maybe Kentucky might play close. Yes, they lost last night, but have a huge confidence boost. But still see that being a win.

I mean I know they haven't played anyone that good but I've been impressed with them. They look physical at the line of scrimmage, especially on defense.

I can easily see loses to:

Tennessee - Worley looks good; frankly, much better than Mason.

Missouri - Their defense is better than ours and Mauk is money; yea he's a lot better than Mason also.

Arkansas - If last night was any indication, the Hog OL will dominate and they will run all over us.

Auburn - This could easily be a blow-out loss @ home. We won't stop their running game and their passing game looks even better than last season.

So yea, 6-6 is very conceivable. At this point it looks like Clemson was overrated.

At the same time, to South Dakota State and Toledo, they have given up 42 points and over 500 passing yards.
UGA will never have to worry about being able to run in any game, and it looks like that could be a big game for Mason.

This fricking board...7-5? fricking seriously? That's a worse case scenario....we shouldn't lose another game until we play Florida and in all honesty they got taken to the wire by UK for Christ's sake. We ran into a perfect storm in WE last night and I honestly think we will get better...I understand folks are frustrated but frick me ....7-5...jesus

Richt and Bobo made some dumb shite calls in Columbia and they've done it many times before. So there's no reason to expect they won't do it again at some point.

Given this, as well as the problems in the secondary and our average quarterback, I think the realistic scenario is we lose to two of three of the following: Missouri on the road, Florida, and Auburn at home.

So, puts us at 9-3. Enough to keep the old homers happy and keep faith alive for next season.......

So using the last 40 years as indication of what we do THIS year......does this mean we will never win another National Championship? We will never win 11 games again?

Actually I see 6-6 as the worst case scenario but yea, 9-3 or 8-4 is more probable. My guess is we lose to Auburn and Missouri again with toss ups in a few other games. Our defense is not good and our offense is not as good as last season without Murray. There's a reason Mason was sitting on the bench and frankly I'm not exciting about our QB prospects in the future. If the guys who are on the bench were that good, they should have beaten Mason out for the starting job; Mason is a DGD but a very average QB in terms of arm strength, size and athletic ability.

This guy gets it...

This is such a classic Georgia loss in every sense. In almost every area, we played both well and terrible at different times, which makes it impossible for a clear consensus on the problem and everyone arguing thinks they are 100% right.

Whether you hate Bobo or love Bobo, you have evidence for your case.

If you think our D sucks or has potential, you have evidence for your case.

If you think our team is grossly underperforming again, or still has “all our goals ahead of us”, you have evidence for your case.

The result of this will be fans here and elsewhere slamming their heads together and feeling quite deeply that everyone else is ignoring the facts and just being blind.

While I readily admit that I am a Disney, I will do a ban bet that we go at WORSE 9-3 regular season.

Now, let's see which of us really believe what we say and which of us just say things to get other peoples attention.

We could easily lose two more games. Florida and Auburn....with an outside chance of Missouri.

But some of you amaze me. A team that won TWO games last year played a team that had 4 wins last year, and all of a sudden you come to the conclusion that we will lose to the team that won two games last season. Solid analysis.

Every time Georgia loses a game a certain segment runs around here like their hair is on fire predicting a 3 win season. Fine. I'm a Disney. But I prefer to think we can win 9-10 than lose 9-10. I understand that I might overestimate the number of wins we might get every year, but I'd hate to run around the rest of my life thinking the worst thing will always happen, and be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't.

Some of you ought to be Vanderbilt fans. That way you could be happy all the time.

About the only way to accurately compare two QBs that have played a different number of games is to go by QB Rating. Worley has a rating of 120.3 while Mason has 140.9. Tennessee depends on Worley MUCH more than georgia depends on mason. mason is doing exactly what we have asked of him. he throws when the coaches ask him to. he has a 70% completion % while Worley has 58%. These stats were compiled against such stalwarts as Utah State and Arkansas State. (True Oklahoma was in there, too) Mason did his against Clemson and South Carolina.

Arkansas played against Texas Tech for gosh sakes!
They BARELY beat UTEP! And Arkansas won none, count them, NO SEC games last season.

As for Missouri, we are going to lose to them because Mauk is better than Mason? But Gurley is much better than whoever they have at RB. To me you have to compare who the teams rely on...they rely on Mauk on offense we rely on Gurley. Which would you rather have?

You guys were all on board the last two weeks that this was a different team. After one loss you are all screaming the sky is falling. Bandwaggoners.

Some of you guys crack me up. Had we won this wouldn't be discussion. Most of you would be talking some 11-0 crap. Just STFU already its only second game. We got work to do thats it, one game at a time.

Nope, if you follow my comments at all, you know I am pragmatic and try to remain objective. I clearly stated that I did not think Pruitt had the players he needs to build a championship defense and that was evident yesterday. As for Mason, he is serviceable and will be fine as long as our running game can carry the day. But frankly our running game hasn't been consistent in a long time. Gurley was totally exhausted after fighting the good fight with too little blocking on too many plays. I saw Marshall run the ball one time and ran into a brick wall.
