Thankfully Driskel was getting the ball out of his hands quick -- which leads to bad statistics but usually no turnovers.
We need to play a lot better if we're going to take the East -- we already have a ton of help from Georgia and SC already dropping games.

Biggest thing for me anyways during Muschamp's presser was him calling out Driskel a little bit.
Muschamp isn't stupid. He knows his job is on the line. If Driskel continues to play like he did in the first half, and to some extent the 2nd half, he might lose his job to Treon.

I'm not sure how I feel about this game. Like nobody popped off the screen to me as playing really badly, but we just took Kentucky to 3 overtimes.
Robinson was a monster. Jones ran strong. Fowler and Hargreaves seemed to keep making big plays when it couted. Our defense forced 3 picks. All things considered, Driskel threw for almost 300 yards and 3 TDs/1 Int...

We are still very young back there and remember, this was their second game. I think they learned how to fight and win tonight. This is a young and inexperienced team in some key positions. They didn't panic or give up in the fog of war. I'm impressed with that.

He said "we missed some open passes", also talked about Jeff not throwing it early enough on that 3rd down play in 2nd? OT to DRob, and also said that when teams bring pressure, the offense must make them pay.

Yeah, when you have to throw it in .5 seconds and your HC wants it out in .3.
That's some passing the buck bullshite from Muschamp. We're with our third OC and a whole new system and our OL sucks balls.
It's hard to be confident in the red zone when all you've known is failure.
Driskel threw 295 yards and 3 touchdowns -- any other fricking person does that and they had a great day.
EDIT: And he also kept us in the fricking game with a brilliant fade pass on 4th and goal.

Seriously, it's amazing the dude did anything with people dropping passes left and right, limited (sometimes no) OL protection and a playcalling scheme that calls for 8 - 12 long bombs which usually have no prayer of being caught.

This motherfricking this. Muschamp has had 4 years to build an offensive line unit (I give the oline credit for run blocking but pass pro and depth is terrible). That has been a complete failure. Doesn't matter what scheme you run, you need to have a good oline if you are even going to dream about competing in the SEC.

This scheme calls for quick passes; if they're scheming around his inability to do it then kudos, but I think the point of this is to get the ball out of his hands because of weak OL play.

I saw him check down quite a few times when he had the chance. But you always have a 1 receiver, 2 receiver and then safety valve. (Varies, obviously.)
So when you have like you know, .5 seconds to make a decision, usually you go with the first.

Eh, our Oline is broken from one end to the other and it's one of Muschamp's greatest faults that he hasn't recruited heavily at that position.

Unless he brings us to the SEC CG no one will ever give him credit or an excuse -- no matter how viable it is. Last year we had no receivers, no running backs, no oline and a scheme that wasn't even his strongsuit (spread vs. pro.)
This year we got three of the four and he's posting good (but not great) numbers.
Really, he just won the game.
Too many people hate him, and in reality he may never get the credit he deserves.

He doesn't have any time back there to make reads. Ropers made it were he wants Jeff to get the ball out of his hands in 3 seconds. He might get to his second read if hes lucky with our oline. He is getting his arse plastered on damn near every throw. Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron and Mettenberger could not put up great numbers behind our oline. Other then the oline being bad at pass pro my only criticism of this offense is this. Why the hell is Jeff not keeping the ball on these zone reads? They play is there but he keeps handing it off. I don't know if the coaches are telling him this or if they are saving it for Bama or what. They should of let Jeff keep about 10 of those against EMU to get him going with his legs. They probably didn't let him to avoid injuries but you cant play scared. Especially if the option is part of your offense. Losing that Idaho game has really screwed us over as far as building timing and chemistry with the offense. Driskel ran that zone read to perfection in 2012 and its hard for me to believe he lost the ability to read the defense on that play. Sorry for the TL;DR
