The fact that no one is bitching about the I G call on Mason is a little strange. The ball hit a defender in the thigh. The correct call is incomplete, 2nd down ,ball on 4 .

That was a good call. Maybe someone can post a gif of the play again, but on the replay it looked like Mason was throwing it toward Rome, but was like 5 or so yards behind Rome and Rome wasnt even looking at the qb. Mason I dont think he even threw it past the LOS. If you call a play like that, it needs to be a fade to the endzone, or a quick play action like when he hit up Rome earlier.

Yep. Mason flipped the ball right at that guys leg. It didn't even look like a real pass. He should've thrown it out of the back of the end zone...

.....that is if he wasn't going to hand it off to Gurley, Chubb, Sony or Hicks first...

Or he tossed it Rome's feet which would've been an incomplete pass. It was a bad grounding call. Everyone in here acting like they could call a better game than Bobo or think 35 points isn't enough win live in fairy land. We've won in Columbia with 20.

Dude, he wasn't even close to throwing it at Rome's feet. I wish we could get a gif of it, b/c it really wasn't close at all. The actually throw probably didnt even make it to the line of scrimmage.

I wouldn't be calling him brilliant. There is a time and a place for everything. For all the failures that occurred on defense, we had a chance to steal the game and blowbo gagged it up.

In that situation at that time, you play to your strength. The odds of Gurley getting in on 4 tries is a lock. You take a lock. blowbo out thought himself. Yet again.

To blowbo

To which, I can only add AMEN.

Our offense ran for over 200 yards averaging almost 6 yards a carry. We had no turnovers to SC's two. I will never understand blaming Bobo as our offense looked very good. This one was on the defense and Marshall Morgan. If we had a defense like we had in the early 2000's I would like our chances against anyone. The game has changed though in the way its officiated, its become much faster and more finesse.

Right, so run it from the 4. 4 times. Win the game. Time and place. Time and place.

It doesn't matter whose feet he threw it at, as long as we had a receiver in the vicinity, it's good.

I think Mason would have thrown it over the end zone but when he ran to the right as soon as he turned around the SC defender was already almost on top of him. It appeared to me that Mason had to get rid of the ball so quickly that he didn't have time to get set so he could throw it over the end zone so he did what he did.

What I am not certain about is the penalty that was called on Gurley's 59 yard run.

Even the TV announcers said during the replay that the penalty shouldn't have been called.

That one bad call cost us the game because if we got that touchdown the momentum would have switched to Georgia.

Maybe we should have played it safe with 4 runs by Gurley and if he doesn't score then at least the clock would have been eaten up and we could go for the tie.

Anyway, it was a typical UGA/SC game.

Not me. I still would have said it was a bonehead move.

4 yards. In three downs you give it to either Gurley, Chubb, or Michel. ONE OF THOSE FOUR would get 4 yards. It seriously takes almost no brains at all to figure that out.

Sticking with what you know isn't always bad. If we were ahead by 7 then yeah, go ahead and try to look like Bill Badass with your clever play calling. But don't even try it against Spurrier when we need that TD.

Bobo effed up. You can't argue that. And if you do then the retard comment needs to be directed somewhere else.

The fact that you use this to refer to one of the best OC's in the conference only speaks to your intelligence.

He has good stats, the one thing that Richt can recruit is skill players on the Oline of the ball. That helps blowbo a lot.

And yet, just like the 1st and goal at the 4 call, he goes mysteriously brain dead at the most inopportune times and this one likely cost us the east. The best OCs do not blow that call. You see the link to the name now, oh sage one.

Good coordinators blow calls all the time. As has been said before, if we score on that play, he's a genius. Faking our bread and butter play (toss sweep) and catching the defense off guard.

Even more bewildering is it had been raining significantly throughout the 2nd half. It's inexcusable to defend this clown man.

Thats because people on here don't want to admit that the D put us in that position in the first place. They would rather scream like a bunch of children pointing fingers at something else.

See I dont understand this logic. Our D last year (with almost the same players) still gave up I think 9 games, where the opponent scored over 30. I just don't see how we can expect our D to keep teams under 30.

The defense was horrible last year, just like it was in Saturday. The defense needs to do better. Offensive play calling is the least of our worries.

The offense is the only reason we've won any games the past two years, and then, when they come up short on one drive after already scoring 35 points, the mouth breathers turn on them. Unbelievable.

To make this very clear, the offense is championship caliber. The defense isn't close to that.

That just needed to be put up twice for the mouth breathers.
