Love LC playing the middle of the field in the nickel

THIS

Maybe it's just me but I felt like he hasn't been as involved this year as last year and I liked seeing him in there making plays tonight.

My view from BDS:

LC26 looking good. All over the field especially at money in dime.

Didn't see Reuben on the field much at all. DePreist looked really slow a few times. But then I'd look up and see him making a TFL near the sideline.

Rashaan is getting more and more reps at jack with the ones. Deshawn getting some reps at DE. A'shawn getting double teamed a lot. Shaun Dion limited to STs.

Saw Eddie Jackson limp off the field a bit. Then saw a lot of Tony Brown in 2nd half. He didn't get tested much. Cyrus didn't do anything particularly noteworthy; I guess that's ok. I thought Nick Perry looked good at times. I saw a couple blown coverages in the first quarter bc guys were confused about their assignments; not sure who was at fault. Washington has earned a role in dime. Geno Smith showed some good physicality. Mo Smith looked good in the fourth.

They were trying to get OJ a TD there in the fourth but Coker couldn't deliver. But all day they rotated OJ out of the game. Not sure what's going on with him but he needs to have a bigger role down the road.

Sims can shake almost anybody one on one. His accuracy has looked really good on the short stuff. Coker looked better than he did last week but it seems like Sims is the man now.

Drake was the best RB today, then Tyren, Henry, Yeldon.

Ryan Kelly was huffing and puffing all day long. I thought he was gonna pass out. Anybody notice that?

-I think our offense has been very productive. Blake Sims is great at what he can do, and he has improved a lot through three games. It was nice to see us taking advantage of the middle of the field, not just throwing sideline passes.
-Nice to see Vogler get a TD. It's puzzling at this point that OJ Howard hasn't been more involved.
-Cyrus Jones is, well, Cyrus Jones. I'm not sure that he will hold his own this year against the more talented WRs. Very curious to see what will happen when he encounters the OM WRs.
-Eddie Jackson has looked good. Seems like the secondary plays better when he's out there.
-Really, really want to see more Mo Smith. Not sure how that would work out, but he has some great ball skills.
-Landon Collins is an animal.
-Why do our special teams have more moments than any other team?
-I don't think Pettway has been as productive as I was anticipating, but Allen has beasted it.

Still maintaining my 2-3 loss prediction for this year. The playoff will just have to wait until next year when our defense will be downright nasty even though we will again have questions at quarterback.

Using Dominick Jackson as a fullback = sadistic evilness. definitely something kiffin came up with.

Nah. We did the same thing with T. Cody.

They were USM and we have far more talent. I mean we have more 5 stars on our bench then they have had in their school's existence. I'm hold judgement until Ole Miss if Florida turns out to be the bums everyone else thinks they are. I think Florida will pound us, but we will have to wait and see

My .02:

First off, I said last week and let me reiterate, Amari Cooper is by far our best football player. Best WR in the nation for sure and possible goat at Bama.

We can win a championship with Blake Sims. Doesn't mean we will but if the defense keeps improving I like our chances.

We seem to really trust the passing game even though we likely could turn into Ark and pound the ball every down.

If this defense ever totally performs to their potential then look out. I love the DL, I'm a little disappointed in the LB's and the secondary isn't as great a weakness as we heard they were.

Big Cam Robinson is having a really good year so far as a true freshman starter at LT. He's going to be a real beast and we won't have to wait till next year to see it.

We have an embarrassment of riches at RB. It's really not even fair to the rest of the SEC.

Jake Coker is going to be a really good QB "next year".

I was completely ok with this. Jones was playing great. Let him get a TD.

- I've been one of the most vocal critics of us not targeting OJ, but I will say there were 2 or 3 plays in the 2nd half where it looked like the play was designed to go to him but he had 2 defenders around him. At least we were looking his way.

- loved seeing Evans out there on a couple obvious passing downs early in the game. Let the kid gain experience now so he can be a real weapon by the end of the year

- Ryan Anderson has been one of the pleasant surprises of the year

- what's up with Ardarius Stewart? Don't remember seeing him much at all

- if Jarrick isn't able to play next week, we're going to have to shuffle some people around in the first half next week.

- LC is looking more and more like Barron in run support

- while D has been pretty good, I'd definitely like to see us force more turnovers. How many do we have, 1 in 3 games?

- Tyren Jones reminded me why he was my favorite out of the 4 RB's we signed in '13

- most frustrating thing to me was not working on 2 minute offense at the end of the 1st half then not taking a knee at the end of the 2nd half. I don't get it

And what does that have to do with us? Our defense, secondary especially, is not good. Florida could have been looking ahead to us

We might have more top flight talent at RB than ever before. We have been great 1-3 for a long time, but we stacked now.

The middle of the field is wide open, and we are very suspect to a short, quick passing game. The DBS are losing the battle on way too many 50/50 balls.

Sims is the guy. The coaches have mad their decision. He has looked good, but he needs to show more command getting the team lined up. He also needs to be quicker about it. The offense looks a lot better when they are moving at a quick pace.

This a very talented team, but there are definite flaws. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost 3 games, and I wouldn't be surprised if we went undefeated.

Just this:

@CecilHurt: Saban: Eddie Jackson has a bruised quad, Yeldon a strained hamstring. Says he doesn't think they are serious.

Don't care. We should have been throwing every down. Screw making friends. Be ruthless. Make them hate playing you. Make them stop you. No one is playing to be classy. Taking a knee breeds complacency. Taking a knee fights what Saban preaches. MAKE their arse quit.

not about being ruthless ... let the players run the real offense ... simple as that ...
