I don't believe I even once hinted at the fact they are, cock.

I was simply commenting on our side of the equation. SC is obviously better, much better, than they were in 2000. However, we're much better as well. Referencing the 2000 game really is pointless.

Relatively, it's not. If Vandy plays Southern Miss, it's a decent game same as Alabama and Oregon. It's just the level of skill is different.

If two teams are evenly matched, it's usually a good game except for mistakes and whatnot.

No need to get testy.

I know.. you have been preaching how our historical matchups have nothing to do with the one coming up all week, both on tRant and the gsb. We all know the strenghts and weaknesses of both teams going into this game, most of us realize we will likely lose. We have our little party and ribbing at uga and past games on OUR board just like ya'll have your 4 or 5 threads about us on the georgia board, so there is no need to come in and get your fur rustled we all know your thoughts and feels. So either join in on some memorable matchup discussions (freaking pollack owned us) or go back to calming your commrades in the other threads on your board.

He's an idiot.

EDIT: Not to say idiots aren't welcome in my company. Some of my best friends are idiots! But they don't compound their mistake by being lethally boring and patronizing, too.

I'm not testy, the only reason I was somewhat derogatory (while still in lighthearted manner) was because I was just responding in kind. And I mean really...wtf is a hedgehound?

Well it is true that nothing in the last 100 years matters at all in relation to this saturday. However, I have ALSO been reminding folks abour our offensive woes there as of late as well. I've gone on record that my official prediction is 27-17, which I think is fairly reasonable.

Not sure why you think I'm rustled. My whole point was just to say that SC upsetting UGA in 2000 has as much relevance to this game as us beating alabama in 1965.

love to. start a thread up and let's share our stories. I've been to all but 1 game in columbia since 98.

With regards to the "What it Means to Be a Bulldog" book, what could two men who never took a class at UGA know about being a student athlete there?

Overview of the book:
quote:

The spirit of Bulldogs football is not captured by just one phrase, one season, or one particular game; instead, the student-athletes and coaches who made the magic happen over eight decades blend their experiences to capture the true essence of their beloved school.

Two of the greatest coaches we've ever had at UGA...I think they would be well versed in "What it means to be a Bulldog."

We'll agree to disagree. They can talk about the football program all day long, sure. But they can't say a damned word from the POV of a student athlete.

But this, in turn, leads to a much broader discussion about the nature of sports at universities, anyway.

The title of the book is "What it means to be a Bulldog" not "What it means to be a student athlete that happens to be a Bulldog."

They were both student athletes as well, just not at UGA.

Perusing the boards this morning like normal, I have noticed that uga fans are having a lot of hate towards us and the OBC. Not being rivals and all, they sure are forming a sort of lynch mob against OBC and us by proxy. 5-6 threads worth.

Wonder how much hate their actual rivals garner?

Clemson= 2 threads

Auburn= usually 2-3 threads gameweek. In fairness no Aubbie gets to post on the prestigious gsb, but since the jihad movement by jd, pb, & pbf only like 2 USC posters can post there.

UF= Actually comes closest with the same amount of attention on gameweek and throughout the year and they are the #1 rival of uga.

In summary, I believe if uga ever named us their rival, the amount of daily lulz it would bring to the USC faithful would be astronomical. I'm not talking about the "normal" dawg guys, but the cult and subcult-like followers that usually only dwell on the gsb because an objectionable opinion brings them pain that no one could not love the dawgs as much as they. Not to mention the all out rejection they would feel as our hate would still be directed at the idiots in the NW part of the state and not at them.

What boards, ours? I see only 2 negative USC threads on the first page, 1 posted by our board's resident farker (thread is obviously in jest) and one by an idiot that nobody likes.

All the rest of the threads based around USC are about the upcoming matchup, of which USC simply happens to be our opponent. In fact, I've seen less hate towards USC this week compared to years past.

That's typically been something of my experience with UGa fans. Most every other school understands that people hate them and are OK with it - even embracing it (most LSU and Florida fans embrace being the villain). I've known some UGa fans that genuinely cannot understand why you don't pull for the Dwags (sic).

I probably phrased that wrong, in my other post. 6 threads total on the first 2 pages.

3 negative= 2 in jest of course, the fark one which is funny... the official USC hate week one which died quickly. and one by the uga taliban follower asking why there isn't more hate, jd probably whipped him for not being more vocal.

3 game discussions= 2 about USC's numbers/stats and 1 about uga's numbers/stats in WBS.

My post was obviously in jest and I find you a pretty normal guy WG, I don't fully get your need to defend everything uga on our board, but I understand you taking up for your retarded kin on yours.
