Talked to a Tech fan at church today; he was already conceding defeat. He said they couldn't slow the run even with nine in the box. He also brought up their drive-killing penalty issues. Basically, he parroted what's already been posted here.

At one point UTEP had a 4th and 8 and the Tech coaches got two penalties in a row to give the Miners a first down. One penalty was for a sideline infraction, the next was two players on the field with the same number

Do not really understand this but the line is Texas Tech -4.5.

It will drop, think it already has to 2.5
May be partially to us having sucked in road games last couple of years.

I hope I am right cause I have the feeling that Arkansas is going to beat the shite out of Texas Tech. It's going to be a Williams/Collins/Marshall pain train down in Lubbock.

I feel like we're going to run on their asses all day long. They may abuse our secondary but I have to believe we'll abuse their lines and take control of the game...leaving their offense on the sideline.

35-10 hogs, tech is very under powered.

Hoping you are right. I feel a lot better than I did preseason about this game. Still, I think it is a make or break game for our outside bowl chances this year.

I think we win but I'm not ready to beat my chest and act like we are suddenly a powerhouse again just because we beat the crap out of a nobody. I still have concerns about our secondary.

after watching some more of the TT / UTEP game the other night...
I actually think this will not be that close. We would have to have some injuries, major coaching mistakes, or something terribly go wrong to not beat them.
Seriously. They couldn't stop the running game of UTEP by completely stacking the box and UTEP couldn't pass the ball against a very soft passing coverage.
Perhaps the Tuesday Koolaid is clouding my judgment... But...

In the part of the game I saw, UTEP's QB wasn't throwing the ball very well. I got the impression they could have beaten TT if the QB had been an average passer.
With obvious concerns for our back seven, I'll still guess:
Hogs - 44
TT - 34
