re: If the season ended today, only 1 SEC team would be in the playoff

Good thing it's the beginning of the goddamned season, jackass. I guess we should take it easy on you. Being a "doc" in Bama must be pretty tough duty. Lots of familial genetic deficiencies, gameday related violent crimes, and generally persistent jackassery. Trailers and ghettos are breeding grounds for all manner of misery.

Kind of like LSU until Lil Nicky got there
LSU was hit or miss nationally until his arrival, yes.
But even Miss St has managed to make it to the SEC title game since its inception.
Ole Piss occupies some pretty lonely ground.

Bama is 1-2 in their last 3 games and looked pedestrian against an overmatched opponent in their lone win. Jury is still out IMO. Kind of surprised by some of the love they're receiving and the love that Auburn isn't receiving.

Alabama has consistently been a top 5 team for 6 straight years. Auburn has not.

But who has the most wins over the last 5 years?
But ya, we are one game into the season and people are going batshit crazy over rankings Should be a fun year.

And UGA is 2-1 with a loss to a mediocre Nebraska team and a 2OT win against a 7-6 GA Tech.
See how relevant last year is?

Yeah, I get that. But I think how you've looked over the last 3 games is a bit more relevant than what Julio Jones or Mark Ingram did.

Lost in the taxslayer.com Gator Bowl to Nebraska

No that's just a fact. Nick Saban saved your program. I'm hoping Freeze can do the same for us.

Yeah I get that, but what I am saying is voters are factoring in the fact that Alabama has consistently been one of the top programs and national title or not, it won't change this year. And Alabama didn't look bad at all in the Iron Bowl last year. You make sound as if Alabama lost by 30 points.

The only problem with that for you is Freeze had a horrible recruiting class last year.
He looks to be a one class wonder thusfar.

I'm just saying that it's laughable that voters weight a championship from a few seasons ago more heavily than the last 3 games. I never said you played bad in the Iron Bowl. I simply stated that you're 1-2 in your last 3 with the lone win looking so far removed from the previous championship caliber teams that I wasn't positive that you even looked like a top 10 team.
Clearly, it's subject to change. But this link, the AP poll and the Coach's Poll are all laughable IMO.

Some of you need to relax. The point of this is there are a lot of good sec teams and with the four team format, teams that have performed well like aTm and Georgia would be left out. Based simply on week one results who could confidently beat aTm and Georgia.

Yet so many bitch about it, after 1 game, and for months before. I'm sure it will work itself out at the end of the season.
Who gives a damn who is 1,2,3, or 14 at this point. Way too much football to be played. Winning will take care of it, and no one is really sure of the caliber of teams they have played last weekend.

They usually are. But as you stated and as usual, they are subject to change.

Any SEC fan that actually thought/ thinks that the playoff was gonna allow 2 sec teams in was/is delusional. The playoff system was demanded by the other 4 power conf.because of the SEC getting two teams into the BCS title game in 2011. After that game, all the other power 5 conf presidents demanded change.
