On the other hand it was refreshing for some of them to face reality instead of denying and talking smack. Remember Clemson before the game?

Oh, I'm well aware how bad it can get on ST. But this is a total meltdown relative to what the taters gave us. I was really underwhelmed by that sad showing.

I have been watching GT football since 1978 and I can't think of any year where the trip to Athens looked this bleak this early.
Looks like someone forgot about the 80s.

Read it closer fin, i think you missed his point. Not being an arse, just think you misread or misunderstood.

I almost feel bad for them. I would be so pissed if CMR left and his replacement implemented a high school offense, then continued to suck for the next several years without changing anything.

Don't forget running afoul of the NCAA repeatedly during that time frame, FooMan. That is really what makes the whole thing hilarious. Wake Forest isn't great at football either, but they aren't getting slammed regularly for cheating.

Good point. Hard to argue with multiple probations in recent years.

Funny, but misdirected. The man who oversaw those debacles is working for a school up 85 in SC.

I was bummed too. They either were too busy deflecting or already dead inside.

Hey, I'm sure your people get a kick out of each player who gets kicked off the team or arrested at UGA who does something stupid. It's how these things go.
Gotta roll with the punches.
Gotta roll with the punches.

That is a LOT of punches if you're a gt fan.
At some point, you can't roll with them. You just roll up into a fetal position and accept the inevitable. This - is gt football at this point in time.

Actually, that was a very nice meltdown. These days, Tech fans get more upset when Georgia beats a good team than they do when Georgia beats GT. There's more complaining about UGA game officiating every week on Tech boards than anywhere else on the internet.
You guys are resigned, inured even, to losing to the Dawgs, so your emotions are all invested in other teams that you hope can fare better. That's why life is so hard for Tech fans, pretty good odds of watching your favorite team lose twice on any given Saturday.

Two of those quotes are mine. Go me! I've always felt I have the ability to compete in a meltdown.

Gee, I wonder which ST poster he could possibly be ...

I was hoping to avoid having to go back there to match up the above quotes with names, Einstein.
But thanks for your continued interest in this thread.

I actually miscounted, there were 3 of mine in there:
Clemson is ööööing loaded.
Is this real life?
UGA has more rushing yards on Clemson than we had on Wofford.
As for the last one, that was during the late third or early fourth quarter I think. I keep a stat tracker open when I watch games at home, helps me contextualize what I'm seeing.
