I'm not going to lie, I'm concerned. Toledo played Missouri tough last year and Mizzou was a better team last year. Playing at Toledo with them having nothing to lose worries me. I will be disappointed but not too surprised with an upset.

Most Mizzou fans have this waiting to get kicked in the nuts mentality.

You should be very surprised if we lose to Toledo

The team last year started off like shite as well. Steadily improved as the year went on. Didn't break out until the Indiana game. It's no surprise to see a Pinkel team start slow and get better.

Mizzou only beat Toledo by 15 last year and that was at home

Yup and I remember people talked shite. Mizzou didn't play too well in about 3 games last Sept. People laughed, predicted Mizzou to only have 6-7 wins, etc. Guess what, this year Mizzou is projected for the Liberty bowl.lol. We'll see how that turns out.

All we do is call the most vanilla offense, and we just aren't practicing for it ~ so the timing is a little off

what he's saying is "our vanilla offense includes the bomb" which we threw 3 times for scores vs SDSU.

Pinkel is about the worst game manager you will ever see running an SEC program, so if it remains close down to the wire, it's certainly anybodies game. That said our spread offense should bulldoze it's way to a 3 score lead with the run game and the bomb mixed in and never look back.

Mizzou always looks like shite early in the season against this kind of competition.....Expect the pass game to look inept again

We do what we do.

That's basically what I said on Saturday. Mizzou usually starts out slow. Pinkel is not going to show all his stuff in week 1-3. That's why people were surprised by the breakout in points during SEC play. Mizzou usually have good WR's and QB's. So I'm not worried about wr dept. And the RB's are still good. What got Mizzou 2yrs ago was the damn O-Line hurt, can't do much with a banged up O-Line when you run a hurry up spread.

Why the frick is Mizzou playing @Toledo?!?

Y'all are in the SEC now. There is no reason y'all should play at a lower school like Toledo.

Um didn't some SEC school play at Arkansas State one year.lol. I heard changing conferences screwed up the scheduling. Then Pinkel coming from there also had something to do with it.

Agree with this, but this is Pinkel doing his old school a solid.

We have some other head scratchers as well, but our schedule got kind of messed up with the conference switch. Hopefully after we get the crap cleared of our schedule we won't see this anymore.

It's Pinkels old school and he pretty much gets to do what ever he wants, like throwing them a bone, (yes it's stupid) and he and Mike Alden will blame the scheduling failures on the SEC move.

@Toledo was scheduled as a favor to Pinkel's old school. @Arkansas State was schedule out of desperation to fill the schedule after moving to the SEC.

the answer is pretty simple, you send Orky St the check for 600k or whatever the buyout is then you pay Austin Peay or Stetson to come to Como for a one off.

If Orky St whines, tell them we offered to play you at Busch and you turned us down, your bad, so sorry, much later fools.

Would any other SEC schools AD fail to solve this simple problem?

we offered to play those fools in STL at Busch Stadium (outdoors) and they turned it down, they would rather play in their high school stadium.

I wanted the 9 game conference schedule.

I dont understand why people dont get this but a 9 game conference schedule would NOT have gotten rid of shite OOC matchups against FCS and bottom feeder FBS schools. It actually makes them more likely b/c every team wants to have at least 7 home games.
