it'll probably get that little QB broken in half

Agree 100%.

Not at all convinced that A&M is all of a sudden elite. SCAR looked horrific.

I'm not sure what you are saying, because clearly it is a long season and there are going to be four highly ranked SEC-W teams this week, with LSU, Auburn, and Alabama all ranked higher than A&M. With A&M having to play two of those teams on the road, the odds are still very much against us being a playoff team. That is reality.

It is also reality that many on this board discounted the fact that we have had three top 10 recruiting classes in a row and that our D is deeper and a year older. Instead, we heard how terrible we would be. I think many on the rant don't play attention to those things and have a very low football IQ. If it makes us arrogant to call out posters that fit in the above category, then so be it. Don't talk out of your arse and we won't seem arrogant.

But make no doubt, I think it is hard to project us as a playoff team at this point. It's a long season.

your team didn't need to prove it. The west is wide open this year. Just enjoy the win/season and don't revel in proving internet people wrong. Just my opinion. Looking forward to our matchup later in the year.

So who is elite in the West this year? You think LSU looks elite right now? What game did you watch?

Texas A&M looks much improved on D and their Offense looks just as good as last year. I expect them to be in the SEC West race down to the wire. I dont know what kind of depth they have but the product they put on the field Thursday night was impressive. They clicked about as good in game 1 as a team can.

If it's not their own team, you'll likely receive a reply, such as, "There are none this year."

Eta: and there you have it.

So if no one is elite, why would it be ridiculous that the division is decided when the two best teams(A&M and Auburn) play eachother?

And that's equally as dumb as saying a&m is after one game. No one knows really who is, and who isn't, elite after only one game. We very well could have a year where no one in the west loses less than 2 games, or this weekend could have just been a hickup for bama or LSU or auburn and they actually are really good. we just don't know yet

i don't know your definition of elite, but at this point nobody is. Elite is pretty rarified air to me where if you do not win the division and the SEC championship it is a huge, huge disappointment. 2009 and 2011 bama was elite, 2012 and 2013 were not.

- and to clarify, if you don't know, then you aren't elite.

I saw a lot of elite play in several games this weekend. I personally think the SEC West is stacked. I think all but Arkansas can be considered in the mix. Obviously one game won't tell us everything we want to know, but then that is what makes watching a CFB season one of the greatest things to do in Merica'.

UGA looks very good from the East. I was looking forward to seeing Fl play too.
