I have no problem admitting A&M looked much better then I thought they would. But USCe also looked a hell of a lot worse then I thought they would. So I'm going to reserve judgement on where A&M falls in the West melee for now.

Likewise. Really hoping that we really were that much better than SC, not that they were grossly overrated. Guess we'll find out the true colors of both in the coming weeks.

On paper I don't think they were that overrated. I get why even apparently Spurrier thought he had something special. Unfortunately they took the paper and wiped their arse with it. The talent is there but it's they went full derp. One of the crazier things I've seen.
I will say your defense, specifically in the trench, is greatly improved. IMO that'll be a big key going forward for you guys. And even if the shine gets knocked off of Hill a bit as he faces tougher defenses, he's still a good QB and will be great for y'all this season and next.

I concur. Even though the secondary still scares the shite out of me, the first thing I noticed was that we weren't getting blown off the LOS like last year. Gotta keep that up at any and all costs.

As long as Hill continues to take what the defense gives him and not force anything, he'll be fine. Can't afford to get a big head and start reading his own press clippings, but he seems pretty grounded.

I was just speaking execution and gameplan wise they def didnt look like it was their first game of the year and they could have beat just about anyone with their offensive performance. Granted SC's D looked worse than ours the past two years....
