You are better off not reading it.

Seriously, I only go there for their updates on recruiting. The threads? talk? It is just way to much homer for me. Then after we lose a game or recruit the fallout?

Hopefully there will be no need to lash out by any of us.

I don't want to see any uncertainty like last season against Va Tech. I would like to see us handle their no-huddle easily as well. We will need to be able to with A&M rolling like they did.

That was just...ugh. Thank God for Christion Jones.

If Saban unleashes Jon Allen, A'Shawn Robinson, DJ Pettway, etc, then I like our chances of slowing their O down. They're gonna throw a lot of quick passes though. Would like to see guys with length like Hand and Allen getting those hands up and swatting a ball or two.

I think we'll be fine offensively, as long as Saban doesn't handicap the O.

Honestly guys. Do you really buy cbs coming out with the news sims in starting? From a "close source" does saban have another PC before the game?

CBS isn't exactly going out on a limb. I think pretty much everyone is predicting Sims to start tomorrow.

My opinions are based solely on what I've heard come out of Saban's mouth, and what I've seen with my eyes. Sims will start this game. Coker will play this game, and if/when it clicks with him this season, he'll take over as the primary QB.

That still doesn't mean there is a starting QB.

Whoever starts the UF game will be the starter. Both will play until then I would assume.

Everyone knows and has known for a while now that Sims would take the first snap vs WVU.

I have no problem with Simms starting. He has definately earned the right. I dont believe this is some kind of dog and pony show as some have suggested. He is legitamately our best option and I hope he wins the job for good.

He has earned the right by being a great teammate and having done everything that has been asked of him. So, he is going to get the first start. If in the preseason games he proves to be the best option he will start the rest of the season. Both will get lots of PT until then.

What point are y'all trying to make? The point I'm trying to make is that who makes the final decision? CBS does? Last time I checked. No. I'm not listening to any speculation and predictions until I hear saban name someone started or when I see someone jog on the god damn field.

Look man, you want Coker to start. That's great. But Sims is likely going to start tomorrow. It doesn't mean anything who starts tomorrow's game, let them both play and THEN maybe we can assess who is better. Until then, it seriously makes no difference who starts, because both will play.

I completely agree with that and I too don't think a starter will be established until the Florida game. We may be able to see coker pass sims and it become apparent before then, but as far as snaps and PT we won't know until Florida. Yes I want coker to start as of now but I will hold judgement until both play tomorrow. I just hope coker gets the same amount of snaps that sims does. My main beef with this thread is that CBS does not know shite. The only credible source is nick saban. And he hasn't said a damn thing.
