like running OoB four yards behind the LoS

This. Thompson has actually had some quality experience and has shown some promise.
He had definitely looked good in a couple games, but there were others (notably @Florida, vs. UCF and @Mizzou) where he looked terrible. Don't think he'll ever be the type of quarterback with a high completion percentage, but he definitely can make some throws behind the defense for long gains.

Did you sneak your armstrength-o-meter into G-day?
You can watch the game film and just see the difference. Murray's arm strength > than Mason. Mason just has an avg arm strength, but with great accuracy you can overcome this.
I'm more worried about Mason's arm strength when we get in the red zone and he'll have to fit the ball into some tight windows. That's the type of throw he will struggle on, but as long as he doesn't have too many of those throws to make(int waiting to happen), he should be good.

Didn't look prepared...that kills confidence, slows play, and creates panic. That was odd for an OBC team of course maybe not given the Garcia era...
I think other than wanting to beat UGA each year, Darth Visor just isn't feeling it anymore.

He still threw for high 300's 4 TD's and 1 pick, thats a damn good night on his part.
For some reason no one who analyzes for a living thought losing your whole D-line and secondary was a big deal. Almost any D-1 QB can look like a heisman candidate if he can just stand in the pocket and throw.
You better believe they will bring their A-game for us. and as much as I think we are Tha Shiznit, we're built for longer sustained drives than quick strikes. We can get beat if we don't have our heads right for the game.

quote:. I agree. We should limit them to just one year and start fresh. Number of starts in the SEC is overrated.
I'm not convinced having all starters returning on OL is necessarily a good thing

I don't know. I think he really wanted to win the big won one more time originally. Which is why he came back to college football...that and he didn't like dealing with the player's prima donna attitudes in the NFL.
The reason why Spurrier came back to college football was because he FAILED in the nfl. Miserably. Just like Saban did.
But, unlike Saban, Spurrier chose a job with very low expectations. I think that the NFL failure rattled SPurrier big time....and scared him into thinking he could tarnish his winner legacy with any further failures. And so..........the SOuth Carolina job was the perfect fit. All he had to do was win 7 or 8 games a year, and you're considered some kind of miracle worker at SOuth Carolina. And if he couldn't do that, he could just blame it on SOuth Carolina's loser culture.
Wasn't SPurrier offered the Alabama job before Saban took it? Why didn't he take it?
I guess he just really likes Columbia SC.
