"TV $$$

Got any statistics to back that up?

Might want to look here:

Alabama 6,465,000 avg viewership

A million plus more viewers than the population of the state.

Uh, Alabama brings what, Mobile, Birmingham and Montgomery? Mizzou brings St. Louis and Kansas City. I'll let you decide who brings more money through television markets.

Ok...bad post on my part...i get that. I was just trying to make a broader point that there are some historic ties to the south. But the bigger point is none of that matters now, we are in the SEC and we don't seen to be hurting or bringing down the SEC. Again, sorry for my dumb frick post...didn't really come across the way I meant

Never apologize. It's a sign of weakness.

Florida State probably would of been a more, "natural" fit. Not sure who was scared SEC teams or FSU....

It was a no-brainer. It would cost $50 mil for FSU to leave. Then it would lose all that basketball revenue. And an easy road to the the playoffs.

FSU ain't going anywhere.

Can't accept a team that's playing AT a MAC school this season and AT a Sun Belt school next season.

Man, you go to the SECCG in just your second year and you become the pariah of the conference. My gawd, what if Mizzou had beaten Auburn? The Rant would have burned down.

FSU had their shot in 1991 and blew it. They will never, ever sniff another SEC invitation.

To be fair...we do love Obama.

Just ask the Missouri State Fair Rodeo Clown.

Maybe they should look at the 2008 and 2012 presidential results. Lets see, Missourians voted Democrat for Governor in 2008, Republican for President. In 2012 Missourians once again voted Democrat for Governor, Republican for President. But lets not let FACTS get in the way of some SEC Ranters.

Um conference realignment is based by population of VIEWERS/Subscribers in that state, not nation wide. SEC gets money from Viewers/Subscribers in the whole state of Missouri.

That's why the B1G went after Rutgers, they wanted all of NJ to themselves for the next TV contracts. It's not hard to understand.lol.

Well, sorry about that. We are here to stay. And in 10 or 20 years you'll forget about us not ever being here. Anyone that doesn't think A&M fits the SEC culture is talking out of their arse and doesn't know jack shite about TAMU.
