You're trying to reason with a dust pan.

It's futile.

Gowder is drunk and can't be reasoned with right now. He's about to hang himself in a shower on the outskirts of Dallas.

I think all thinking people agree that the point is to raise money for a cure. If celebrities start donating large amounts, great. I just want to see Floyd Mayweather read about some muggles and make 50 put up. I won't hold my breath though.

It's annoying how people use the ALS challenge to fuel their vanity but it's also amazing/fantastic that ALS research can be fueled by people's vanity. Way I see it.

Gotta put up with some stupid shite but it's been insanely successful.

Yea. And it's viral marketing at it's best. But people should brace themselves for shitty piggy-back schemes.

Good for ALS and their purpose for taking advantage of people's desire to be seen as caring and need for attention. Good luck for people trying to recreate it.

I have alot more negative to say right now but out of respect for athens-ga guy I will just bottle it up inside for now.

Growders win this battle.

And that's part of the problem.

My uncle died last year from ALS. When he was diagnosed I didn't even know it by that name and had no idea what an awful syndrome it is. Due to this campaign and exposure they have raised 40M ytd compared to 3M at this time last year. Vanity or not, it's awesome for the cause. Some people will complain about anything I swear.

....he also used to have to drive 3hr just to get to the appropriate treatment facility and he did not live in a rural area. If this money can in some way help people get the treatment they need and provide better care then why would anyone gripe. This is the perfect way to fund these types of causes. People voluntarily giving money and exposure to a good cause that helps people.
