Didn't DGB have more then one incident before he was booted?

Your discipline isn't any different then most college teams. But I don't think the disciplining is the issue as much as Mizzou could get themselves in some pretty hot water under Title IX over the lack of an investigation. That's certainly not good for the school.

DGB's first 2 arrests were for possession of marijuana. I honestly didn't realize all of the Washington stuff until just now. I was in high school at the time and only knew he got kicked off for sexual abuse charges or something like that. I did not know about the first three, therefore retract any defenses i have previously made for my university. I'll be pretty disgusted if it does turn out that a cover up took place

^No doubt. Just about any tactic other than "If he doesn't get charged/the public doesn't know about the charge then we don't have to do anything" is good placed to start. And the diversion program the DA gave him on the rape, the very first incident? That would've been enough for me to boot his arse.

Agreed. I feel differently about possession and drunk charges because that is just a part of college. but sexual abuse, or beating women in any way, should have a zero tolerance policy, which is why i was glad we booted DGB right away

Drugs, possession, drinking - that's minor. Sexual abuse is not. So yeah totally agree with you there.

The swimmer deal was BS. After ESPN fricked that story up so bad, I have a hard time taking them seriously. With that said, DWash was a POS and I'm not overly surprised there's more issues with him.

Can SCRooster get credited for the time he was banned when he accused the milktoasts of covering up rapes and they got all pissy, RA'd him, and he was banned?

That seems fair. Or you could ban a mizzou fan who RA'd him for telling the truth. Or, why not spread it around an ban 30 mizzou posters for 2 days.

Either way, it looks like he was right. mizzou covered up rapes to benefit their "star" athletes. It's really disgusting.

Schools that just allow this shite to happen like Mizzou and OU need to be punished Penn State style to send them a message that football is not greater than humanity.

A bunch of cocks beating their meat over a negative story about Mizzou.

Would have never expected that.

The problem is that it's out of the NCAA's purview unless they stretch things. Penn State self-imposed most of their punishments and I believe they have since appealed it and might've even gotten it reduced.

This though is an area where the NCAA could shine by making a rule and policy laid out for this. School's found covering up for athletes, and coaches, should get hit hard enough to where the money, the wanting to save their reputation when a player does something awful, salary a coach makes/incentive to keep his or her job is far outweighed by the cost of getting caught. I don't believe any fan would object to such a rule even though fans don't particularly like the NCAA. But such a rule would take pressure and incentive off of those who are looking out for their interests, their jobs, their school's team or reputation and instead incentivize doing the right thing.

Right now Title IX comes in and punishes the schools, forces them to do this or that in terms of campus resources and policies. But that doesn't effect sports directly when it comes to rape cases (more indirectly).

At least here we have the freedom to choose who can beat our meat. Unlike in that "other Columbia"...

Good gosh.

We know that sometimes we have to just beat our meat. It's better than raping girls, making them kill themselves and then hoping that our Athletic Department will just cover it up. I wish some milk toasters would figure this out too.

Deflecting to rant rivalries in this thread might be the most pathetic fricking thing I've ever seen.

Exactly, everybody got the boot. Even the HC, they shipped him off to a rape friendly school in the north, even more northern than mizzou.

If the story is right, complying with Title IX would have been a good start.

It is more an indictment of the athletic department as a whole than just the football program. If there is any truth at all to the accusation that her soccer scholarship was threatened, you're in Schultz/Curley/Spanier territory.

So you're women have no choice, you have the freedom to choose who beats your meat?

Although I think this is the wrong thread for him to say what he said, if you want to respond you should probably double check what you type...
